Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland: Taking advantage of opportunity
Kneeland has made at least one impact play every day in training camp so far, Patrik Walker of DallasCowboys.com reports.
With Micah Parsons on the sidelines due to his contract dispute, there's been plenty of first-team reps available for the Cowboys' younger edge rushers, and Kneeland is taking full advantage. The 2024 second-round pick played only 11 regular-season games as a rookie due to a knee injury that required arthroscopic surgery and failed to register a sack, but he's 100 percent healthy and making up for the lost time in his development. If Parsons' absence lingers past Week 1, Kneeland will likely be fighting with 2022 second-round pick Sam Williams and 2025 second-round pick Donovan Ezeiruaku for a starting spot opposite veteran Dante Fowler, but all four should see significant roles in the Dallas pass rush.

Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland: Past knee injury
Kneeland (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Kneeland has missed six of the Cowboys' last seven games after undergoing knee surgery in early October. His full practice participation Thursday indicates that the rookie second-round pick should be available to play Monday against the Bengals, barring any setbacks.

Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland: Unable to suit up Thursday
Kneeland (knee) is inactive for Thursday's Week 13 contest against the Giants.
Kneeland's inactive status was expected, as he entered Thursday deemed doubtful to play after not practicing all week. It will be the rookie defensive end's sixth absence in Dallas' past seven games after he underwent knee surgery in early October. With Kneeland out Thursday, Tyrus Wheat could see more defensive work in a rotational role.

Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland: Unlikely to play against Giants
Kneeland (knee) did not practice Wednesday and is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Giants, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Kneeland returned from a five-game absence due to a knee injury this past Sunday against the Commanders, and he finished the contest without recording a tackle across 17 defensive snaps. However, he was unable to participate in any walkthroughs or practices this week, and it's unlikely that he'll play in Thursday's NFC East clash. If Kneeland is inactive, Tyrus Wheat and Carl Lawson would serve as the Cowboys' rotational defensive ends behind starters Micah Parsons and Chauncey Golston.
