  • Rams' Myles Garrett: Being dealt to Rams

The Browns agreed to trade Garrett to the Rams on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Garrett will bolster a win-now Rams team, while the rebuilding Browns get back Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick and a 2029 third-round pick. The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year set the league record with 23.0 sacks in the 2025 regular season, and he should have even more opportunities to rush the passer on a Rams team that's expected to play with the lead much more often than the Browns have in recent years.

  • Browns' Myles Garrett: Trade to Rams being finalized

The Browns are finalizing a trade Monday that will send Garrett to the Rams, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Garrett, who tallied a career-high 23.0 sacks across 17 regular-season appearances in 2025, reportedly will be dealt to Los Angeles with Cleveland receiving edge rusher Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick and other draft compensation in return. The transaction is a substantial all-in maneuver by the Rams, as the team works to maximize the competitive window of veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford, who inked a one-year extension in mid-May. Garrett remains one of the most impactful defensive players in the league and will arguably see his IDP fantasy prospects rise even further once the trade is finalized.

  • Browns' Mike Hall: Sustains leg injury

Hall was helped off the field by trainers after sustaining a right leg injury during Cleveland's OTAs on Wednesday, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. The 2024 second-round pick from Ohio State has appeared in 17 games across his two seasons in the NFL, recording 25 total tackles, including 2.5 sacks, while playing 405 defensive snaps. Once Hall returns to full health, he's expected to operate as one of the Browns' top rotational interior defensive linemen.

Graham told reporters Wednesday that he played through a broken rib at the end of the 2025 season, Dan Labbe of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Despite dealing with a broken rib, Graham appeared in all 17 of the Browns' contests during his rookie campaign, recording 49 total tackles, including 0.5 sacks, and four passes defensed. Heading into his second NFL season, the Michigan product is likely to remain an integral part of Cleveland's defensive front.

  • Browns' Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah: Will miss entire 2026 season

The Browns placed Owusu-Koramoah on the reserve/PUP list Friday. Owusu-Koramoah sustained a serious neck injury last October against the Ravens. The linebacker's NFL future was called into question due to the nature of the injury, and while a move to the reserve/PUP list instead of a release is a sign that his playing days may not be over quite yet, he will be required to miss the entire 2026 season, per Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer.

  • Giants' Shelby Harris: Signs deal with G-Men

The Giants signed Harris to a one-year contract Wednesday, Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reports. Harris will turn 35 in April, but he's coming off a 2025 season with Cleveland in which he played 507 snaps, racking up 32 tackles (15 solo), including 1.0 sacks. The Giants recently dealt three-time Pro Bowler Dexter Lawrence to Cincinnati in exchange for the 10th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, leaving a big hole on the interior of its defensive line that Harris now figures to play a significant role in helping to fill.

  • Saints' Martin Emerson: Headed to New Orleans

The Saints signed Emerson on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Emerson worked out with the team earlier in the day and seemingly impressed enough to earn a contract. The 25-year-old has spent the entirety of his three-year career with Cleveland, totaling 202 tackles (158 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and four interceptions across 50 games. With the Saints lacking proven talent at cornerback, Emerson could have a chance to start alongside Kool-Aid McKinstry during the 2026 campaign.

  • Martin Emerson: Visiting with New Orleans

Emerson is visiting the Saints on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The Mississippi State product was sidelined for Cleveland's entire 2025 campaign due to a torn Achilles, but he's now visited with the Texans and Saints in April, suggesting he's moved past the issue. Emerson was a crucial part of the Browns' defense from 2022 to 2023, appearing in 33 regular-season games and logging 122 total tackles and 29 passes defensed, including four interceptions.

  • Browns' Emmanuel McNeil-Warren: Chosen by Browns

The Browns selected McNeil-Warren in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 58th overall. McNeil-Warren (6-foot-4, 201 pounds) was commonly projected to come off the board notably earlier than the late second round, and Cleveland ultimately decided it worth trading up with the 49ers in order to end his slide. A three-year starter at Toledo with the combination of size and athleticism to succeed at the NFL level, McNeil-Warren's landing spot with the Browns will make him the top safety off the bench behind starters Grant Delpit and Ronnie Hickman.

  • Browns' Winston Reid: Remaining with Browns

Reid signed his exclusive-rights free-agent tender with Cleveland on Monday. Reid didn't play at all last season after suffering a back injury in late August. However, the Weber State product worked his way up to a pretty big role as a rookie in 2024, with most of his work coming on special teams. If Reid is back to full health and able to make the roster ahead of the upcoming campaign, he'll likely reprise his role as a depth option and special-teamer.

  • Martin Emerson: Visiting with Texans

Houston is hosting Emerson (Achilles) for a visit on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Emerson missed the entire 2025 campaign in Cleveland due to an Achilles tear suffered last July, but it appears he's now ready to pass a physical and sign with a new team. The 2022 third-round pick started 27 games across his tenure with the Browns.

  • Browns' Myles Garrett: Agrees to modify contract

Garrett and the Browns reached agreement Tuesday on a modified contract, ESPN.com's Field Yates reports. Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the Browns have no plans to trade Garrett, even though these contract modifications make it easier to do so from a cap standpoint. It won't come as a huge surprise if the rebuilding franchise eventually trades its 30-year-old superstar, but the Browns did respond with a massive four-year extension when Garrett requested a trade in February 2025. Garrett then broke the single-season record for sacks (23) while playing for a team that went 5-12 and faced just 487 opponent pass attempts (third-fewest). Garrett's renegotiated contract crucially pushes the date for option bonuses in 2026-28 from late March to late August, reducing the current-year dead-cap charge associated with a potential trade.

He appeared in seven regular-season games for Cleveland and logged nine tackles (five solo) and two pass defenses while mostly serving on special teams. Ross will likely see most of his playing time on special teams in 2026, but his presence gives the Browns depth in the secondary.

  • Sam Webb: Not tendered by Cleveland

Webb is now an unrestricted free agent after the Browns opted not to tender him Wednesday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports. Webb spent the first half of the 2025 season on the Titans' practice squad after being cut by the Raiders at the end of training camp. He was signed to the Browns' active roster in mid-November, and across seven regular-season games (two starts) he recorded eight tackles (three solo) and one pass defense. He also returned a fumble for a touchdown. Webb's ability to contribute on special teams should garner interest from teams who are also looking for depth in the secondary.

  • Sam Kamara: Now unrestricted free agent

The Browns did not tender Kamara on Monday, making the Stony Brook product an unrestricted free agent, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports. Kamara would have been a restricted free agent had the Browns placed a tender on him, but he'll now have the opportunity to sign with a team without the offer being matched by Cleveland. Kamara spent the majority of the 2025 season on the Browns' practice squad before signing to the team's active roster in early December, finishing with six tackles (three solo) across four games. He'll look to join a team in need of defensive line depth.

  • Mohamoud Diabate: Non-tendered by Cleveland

Diabate is an unrestricted free agent Wednesday after not being tendered by the Browns, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports. Diabate saw his defensive snaps and production decrease in 2025 due to the emergence of Carson Schwesinger, with the former operating in a rotational role while serving on special teams. Now that he's an unrestricted free agent, Diabate will look to join a team where he can earn a starting spot at inside linebacker.

  • Browns' Ronnie Hickman: Set to be tendered by Cleveland

The Browns are expected to place a second-round restricted tender on Hickman, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Fowler notes the Hickman is an extension candidate, but the move would keep the Ohio State product under contract for the 2026 season. Hickman stepped into a larger role for the Browns during the 2025 regular season, when he played every single defensive snap in 14 of 17 games and compiled 103 tackles (51 solo) and seven pass defenses (two interceptions).

Schwesinger (ankle) was named the 2025 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. He logged 156 total tackles across 16 regular-season games, while also logging 2.5 sacks and two interceptions. Schwesinger missed the final game of the campaign with an ankle injury, but the issue is not expected to affect his preparation for his sophomore year as a pro.
