The 23-year-old linebacker has started all 14 games, posting a whopping 144 tackles (85 solo), including 1.0 sacks, four pass breakups and a pair of fumble recoveries on 90 percent of the defensive snaps. • Titans' Oluwafemi Oladejo: Designated for return to practice

Oladejo (leg) was designated to return from IR on Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Oladejo can be activated from IR anytime in that span and as early as Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

  • Titans' Xavier Woods: Placed on injured reserve

The Titans placed Woods (hamstring) on injured reserve Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. Woods sustained a hamstring injury in the Titans' Week 15 loss to the 49ers, and the injury was deemed severe enough for him to be placed on IR. The four-week minimum for players placed on IR means that the safety's season is over. Kendell Brooks is currently listed as the starting free safety, but new addition Erick Hallett, recently signed from the Lions' practice squad, could also see a role in the Titans' secondary as the year ends.

Hallett met the moment, notching a new career-high 10 takedowns in the start. With Joseph expected to miss more action moving forward and Harper's status uncertain for Week 16, Hallett could be elevated again for the team's matchup with the Steelers.

  • Titans' Jeffery Simmons: Logs sack, receiving TD in Week 15

Simmons posted seven tackles (four solo), including 1.0 sacks, one forced fumble and a one-yard touchdown catch during the Titans' 37-24 loss to the 49ers on Sunday. Simmons made his impact felt early in the fourth quarter, when he stripped the ball while sacking Brock Purdy, leading to a fumble recovery by Kaiir Elam. Two plays later, Simmons reported as an eligible receiver and was on the receiving end of a one-yard touchdown pass from Cam Ward. It was the second receiving touchdown of Simmons' seven-year NFL career, with the first taking place during the 2023 season. On the defensive side of things, the 2019 first-rounder is up to 9.0 sacks through 12 regular-season games, which breaks his previous career-best mark from the 2021 campaign (8.5 sacks across 17 regular-season games). Simmons will look to reach double-digit sacks for the season in Week 16 against the Chiefs, who will have Gardner Minshew under center after Patrick Mahomes suffered a torn ACL in his left knee against the Chargers on Sunday.

Gray has been diagnosed with a concussion and won't return to Sunday's game against the 49ers. Gray appeared to sustain the injury after colliding with George Kittle in the fourth quarter. Gray will end his day with 16 tackles (seven solo), and his 11 tackles in the first half were the most in Titans franchise history since 2000. Dorian Mausi and Joe Bachie are slated for more snaps at inside linebacker for the rest of Sunday's game, and Gray is in jeopardy of being sidelined for the Titans' Week 16 tilt against the Chiefs on Sunday, Dec. 21.

  • Titans' Jalyn Armour-Davis: Ruled out for Week 15

Armour-Davis (Achilles) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Armour-Davis will miss a third straight game while working his way back from an Achilles injury, despite seemingly having made progress at practice in Week 15. • Titans' Jalyn Armour-Davis: Working his way back

Armour-Davis (Achilles) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Armour-Davis sustained an Achilles injury in the Titans' loss to the Seahawks in Week 12. The starting cornerback has alternated between limited and non-participant status the last few weeks, so consecutive limited practices still leave uncertainty about his ability to suit up for Sunday's game against the 49ers. If he's once again ruled out, Micah Robinson will likely take over many of Armour-Davis' defensive snaps for Week 15.
