  • Jordan Oladokun: Hits waivers

The Chargers waived Oladokun (undisclosed) on Thursday, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports. Oladokun was a undrafted rookie in 2025 but spent the season on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury. Now that he's presumably past the issue since he wasn't waived with an injury designation, he'll likely seek his next landing spot with hopes of securing a practice-squad role in 2026.

  • Chargers' Nick Barrett: Snared by Chargers

The Chargers selected Barrett in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 145th overall. Barrett doesn't have a long list of production to his name at South Carolina, but he did well in his lone season as a starter for the Gamecocks in 2025, racking up 42 tackles and 2.0 sacks. He sports above-average arm length and is pretty athletic for his size, but he's a bit raw on the pass-rush front. Barrett will provide some depth on the defensive line for the Chargers and might fit in better as a defensive end in the 3-4 scheme.

  • Chargers' Genesis Smith: Added by Bolts

The Chargers selected Smith in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 131st overall. Smith (6-foot-2, 202 pounds) started the final two seasons of his three years at Arizona and stands to provide RJ Mickens with immediate competition for rotational snaps at safety behind Elijah Molden, Derwin James and Tony Jefferson. The 21-year-old Smith plays fast enough to provide a wide range of coverage but will need to develop into a more physical and consistent tackler in order to fit the bill as a potential starter at the NFL level.

  • Chargers' Tony Jefferson: Back with Bolts

Jefferson is re-signing with the Chargers on a one-year, $2 million contract, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports. Jefferson, who turned 34 in January, suited up for 13 regular-season games with Los Angeles in 2025, totaling 57 tackles (37 solo) and seven passes defensed, including four interceptions. The Falcons signed Hand to a contract Monday, Will McFadden of the team's official site reports. Hand is a nine-year NFL veteran who spent 2025 with the Chargers, tallying 29 tackles including 1.5 sacks, along with four defensed passes including an interception, over 13 regular-season games. He should compete for a starting role with Atlanta.

  • Chargers' Denzel Perryman: Returning to Bolts

Perryman and the Chargers agreed to terms on a one-year contract Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Perryman will return to the Chargers for a third consecutive season (and ninth campaign since being drafted by the team in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft). He saw his production dip in 2025, finishing with 47 tackles (30 solo) and three pass defenses across 10 regular-season games. He missed seven games last season, five of which were due to an ankle injury and two more because of a suspension. Perryman's best days are behind him, but he'll fortify the Chargers' depth at inside linebacker behind projected starters Troy Dye and Daiyan Henley.

  • Chargers' Del'Shawn Phillips: Special-teams ace stays with Bolts

The Chargers are re-signing Phillips to a two-year, $7.5 million contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Phillips suited up for all 17 of Los Angeles' regular-season games in 2025 as well as the team's wild-card round loss to New England, operating as a depth option at linebacker and a key playmaker on special teams. As Pelissero notes, Phillips led the league in special teams tackles in 2025, earning second-team All-Pro honors. He'll work to continue making plays on special teams over the next two seasons.

  • Chargers' Otito Ogbonnia: Joining Dallas

Ogbonnia is slated to sign a one-year, $3 million deal with the Cowboys, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Ogbonnia played nine regular-season games with the Chargers last season, logging double-digit defensive snaps in just seven of those contests. The 25-year-old will likely fill the role of rotational nose tackle or defensive end behind starters Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark and Osa Odighizuwa.

  • Chargers' Deane Leonard: Back with Bolts

The Chargers are slated to sign Leonard to a one-year, $2 million deal, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. The 26-year-old corner from Ole Miss appeared in just eight regular-season games for the Chargers last season due to a knee injury. However, he's operated as one of Los Angeles' best special-teams players over the last two years, logging 355 special-teams snaps and 13 total tackles. Expect Leonard to maintain a similar role ahead of next season.

  • Packers' Benjamin St-Juste: Secondary help for GB

The Packers have agreed to terms on a two-year, $10 million contract with St-Juste, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. St-Juste handled a depth role in the Chargers' secondary in 2025, when he totaled just 37 tackles (22 solo), seven passes defensed, including one interception, across 16 regular-season appearances (355 defensive snaps). He could get a chance to compete for an increased role in Green Bay this offseason.

  • Commanders' Odafe Oweh: Four-year deal with Commanders

Oweh agreed to terms Monday on a four-year, $100 million contract with Washington, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Oweh got off to a slow start in 2025, as he was held without a sack across five games with the Ravens, but he surged upon being traded to the Chargers and totaled 28 tackles (15 solo), including 7.5 sacks, across 12 regular-season appearances with Los Angeles. The 27-year-old also had 3.0 sacks in his lone playoff appearance, the Chargers' wild-card round loss to New England, so it's unsurprising to see the Commanders invest substantially in a bet on his upward trajectory. Oweh now will look to maximize his talents as a pass rusher under new defensive coordinator Daronte Jones.

  • Chargers' Khalil Mack: Sticking with Chargers

Mack and the Chargers agreed to a one-year contract Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. After the Chargers' loss to the Patriots in the wild-card round in January, Mack relayed to Omar Navarro of the team's official site that he planned to contemplate whether or not to continue playing. On Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Mack intended to do so, and the pass rusher now has a new one-year deal in place. Since racking up 17.0 sacks in 2023, Mack has accrued 11.5 sacks in 28 regular-season games over the past two years, indicating the 35-year-old still has something left in the tank as he embarks in his 13th NFL campaign.

  • Chargers' Khalil Mack: Will play in 2026

Mack has indicated that he will play in the 2026 season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Mack had been considering retirement following his 2025 campaign with the Chargers, which ended in a 16-3 loss to the Patriots in the AFC wild-card round. He put up respectable numbers during the regular season -- 32 total tackles, including 5.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles across 12 games -- but it wasn't to the level of production he had in 2023, when he posted a career-high 17.0 sacks across 17 regular-season games. Even though his sack totals have dropped in the last two years, Mack should garner plenty of interest from teams looking to upgrade their defensive front this offseason.

  • Chargers' Bud Dupree: Veteran logs consistent season

Dupree (hamstring) had 16 tackles (nine solo), including 2.0 sacks, and added one pass defensed over 16 regular-season games with the Chargers in 2025. The 11-year vet missed just one regular-season game, Week 16 against the Cowboys, due to a back injury, and he also sat out the wild-card loss to the Patriots because of a hamstring issue. Dupree did see a significant decrease in snaps, as he logged 390 this past season after seeing 522 in 2024. The 33-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and it remains to be seen if the Chargers will be interested in a reunion.

  • Chargers' Donte Jackson: Healthy and productive in 2025

Jackson recorded 24 tackles (16 solo) and 12 passes defensed, including four interceptions, over 17 regular-season games in 2025. Jackson's four-interception total is the second best of his eight-year career, with only his 2024 season with the Steelers netting a higher total (five). Jackson has one more year on his contract with the Chargers and will likely continue operating as the starting outside cornerback for the team in 2026.

  • Chargers' Da'Shawn Hand: Logs a first in eighth year

Hand accumulated 29 tackles (18 solo), including 1.5 sacks, and four passes defensed, including one interception, over 13 games in the 2025 regular season. Hand's Week 14 interception of Jalen Hurts marked the first of his eight-year career, and the pick helped lead the Chargers to a pivotal victory over the then defending champs. The defensive end managed to exceed his 2024 sack total (1.0) despite playing four fewer games in 2025. The 30-year-old will enter the 2026 offseason as an unrestricted free agent.

  • Chargers' RJ Mickens: Rotational rookie campaign

Mickens had 29 tackles (18 solo) and two interceptions over 12 regular-season games for the Chargers in 2025. Mickens was utilized as a rotational safety option behind starters Derwin James and Elijah Molden. The rookie enjoyed a strong start to his career with interceptions against the Vikings in Week 8 and the Steelers in Week 10. He will likely start his sophomore season in a rotational role once again, as both James and Molden will be back in their starting roles in 2026.

  • Chargers' Jamaree Caldwell: Solid impact as rookie

Caldwell recorded 31 tackles (14 solo) with 1.0 sack, one pass defensed and one forced fumble across 17 regular-season games in 2025. The Chargers selected Caldwell in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and he went on to play 485 defensive snaps in his rookie season. He primarily functioned as a run stuffer, which he did effectively, and he should at least maintain a comparable role in 2026. While Caldwell was a key member of the Chargers defense, his fantasy intrigue is minimal due to his lack of production as a pass rusher.

  • Chargers' Benjamin St-Juste: Role slips significantly

St-Juste recorded 37 tackles (22 solo), seven passes defensed and one interception across 16 regular-season games with the Chargers in 2025. St-Juste joined the Chargers on a modest one-year deal prior to the 2025 season. He filled a depth role in the secondary, with his 355 defensive snaps marking his fewest since his rookie campaign. On the other hand, St. Juste did well when tested by opposing quarterbacks, so he may get a slightly larger deal this offseason with the chance to earn more of a defensive role in 2026.
