  • Saints' Demario Davis: Quiet performance in Week 6

    Davis recorded three total tackles (two solo) in Sunday's 25-19 loss to the Patriots. Davis was uncharacteristically quiet in Week 6, securing a season-low three stops in the loss. The three tackles were his lowest total since Week 13 of last season and four fewer than the seven he posted in Week 4 of this year. Davis is still off to a strong start to the campaign though, compiling 51 total tackles (27 solo), a pass defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery over six games this season.

  • Saints' John Ridgeway: Won't play vs. New England

    Ridgeway (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Ridgeway drew the questionable tag for Sunday's contest after three consecutive full practices, but the fourth-year defensive tackle will need to wait until at least Week 7 against the Bears on Sunday, Oct. 19 to make his 2025 debut.   • Saints' Chase Young: Ready to rock

    Young (calf) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Patriots, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports. The Ohio State product has yet to play this season due to a calf injury sustained in early September, but it now appears he's ready to make his 2025 debut in Week 6.     Yiadom (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Patriots, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports. The veteran cornerback from Boston College logged consecutive DNPs to open the Saints' week of practice and is now in line to miss his second game in a row Sunday. Yiadom appeared in each of New Orleans' first four contests this season, recording 16 total tackles across 140 defensive snaps.     Howden notched four tackles (three solo) and recovered a fumble that he returned for a touchdown in a 26-14 win over the Giants on Sunday. Howden's touchdown was a game-changer. It came on the first play of the fourth quarter when Cam Skattebo fumbled with New York having driven to the Saints' 12-yard line. The Giants looked like they could be on the verge of the go-ahead score until the fumble, but Howden's TD instead gave New Orleans a 26-14 lead that would hold for the remainder of the contest. It was the first fumble recovery and the first touchdown of any sort in Howden's NFL career.

    Davis finished Sunday's 26-14 victory versus the Giants with 10 tackles (seven solo), a defensed pass and a forced fumble. Davis' 10 stops were the second-most stops on the Saints behind Pete Werner (11). Davis also came up with a big forced fumble late in the second quarter, as New Orleans recovered and managed a field goal as time expired leading into halftime. Davis has registered double-digit tackles in three of five games this season and has 48 stops overall, putting him well on pace for a ninth straight campaign of triple-digit tackles.

McKinstry came up huge for New Orleans to help the team to its first win of the season.     Yiadom (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Per Paras, Yiadom sustained a hamstring injury during practice this past week. The injury prevented Yiadom from participating in practice Thursday and Friday, and the 2018 third-rounder will not take the field for Week 5 as a result. Quincy Riley has seen the field on defense in each of the last two games, and he figures to be the top candidate for an increased role in the secondary Sunday in Yiadom's absence. Week 6 against the Patriots on Sunday, Oct. 12 is Yiadom's next opportunity to play.
