Head coach Brian Schottenheimer said Tuesday that Overshown (knee) is "trending" toward being activated from injured reserve ahead of the Cowboys' Week 11 clash against the Raiders on Monday, Nov. 17, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports. Overshown is in the final stages of his rehab from a torn ACL, MCL and PCL that he suffered in December. His 21-day practice window opened Oct. 22, and while he wasn't ready to return for Weeks 8 and 9, the expectation is that he'll be available to make his 2025 debut in Week 11. • Cowboys' Quinnen Williams: Sent packing to Dallas

The Cowboys acquired Williams from the Jets on Tuesday in exchange for defensive tackle Mazi Smith, a 2026 second-round draft pick and a 2027 first-round draft pick, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. After moving two-time All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner (concussion) to the Colts earlier Tuesday, the Jets shipped out another longtime anchor of their defense in Williams, a three-time Pro Bowl selection. Williams has seen his production slip a bit since registering a career-high 12.0 sacks in 2022, but the 27-year-old still profiles as a difference maker along the defensive line. In Dallas, he'll team up with Kenny Clark at defensive tackle to bolster the Cowboys' pass rush and run defense.

Once he moves past the calf issue that sidelined him in Week 9, the 29-year-old will provided a needed boost to the Cowboys linebacker corps. Wilson will be under contract through 2027 after signing a four-year, $36 million extension with the Bengals in July 2023. In eight games with the Bengals this season, Wilson has recorded 46 tackles, and he notched at least 100 stops in each of the previous four campaigns. With Dallas on bye in Week 10, Wilson will have added time to recover from his injury, as well as acclimate himself to his new team's defensive system.
