Vikings vs. Saints updates: Live NFL game scores, results for Sunday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Vikings vs. Saints football game
The New Orleans Saints will head out on the road to face off against the Minnesota Vikings at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. Despite being away, the Saints are looking at a 2.5-point advantage in the spread.
Last Sunday, New Orleans' game was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against the Bears by a score of 24-17. The victory made it back-to-back wins for New Orleans.
The Saints relied on the efforts of Taysom Hill, who gained 65 total yards and two touchdowns, and Derek Carr, who threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.5% of his passes.
The Saints didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Paulson Adebo and Marcus Maye.
Meanwhile, Minnesota waltzed into Sunday's match with three straight wins but they left with four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 31-28 victory over the Falcons.
The Vikings can attribute much of their success to Joshua Dobbs, who threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
One of those touchdowns was the difference in the game. The Vikings were down by four with only two minutes and eight seconds left when they drove 75 yards for the winning score. Dobbs hit Brandon Powell from six yards out and that was all she wrote.
New Orleans now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Minnesota, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.
The Vikings are hoping to beat the odds on Sunday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. They might be worth a quick bet since they've covered the spread the last four times they've played.
New Orleans couldn't quite finish off Minnesota in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 and fell 28-25. Can the Saints avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
