Texans vs. Jets Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Texans vs. Jets football game
After two games on the road, the Houston Texans are heading back home. They will take on the New York Jets at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday at NRG Stadium. Houston should still be riding high after a victory, while New York will be looking to right the ship.
After constant struggles on the road, the Texans have finally found some success away from home. They took their game against the Tennessee Titans last week 22-13. Houston QB Tyrod Taylor did work as he accumulated 107 passing yards in addition to punching in two rushing touchdowns.
Houston's defense was a force to be reckoned with, as it collected four interceptions and one fumble. DB Desmond King picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, but New York was not quite the Miami Dolphins' equal in the second half when they met last week. New York fell to the Dolphins 24-17. Despite the loss, the Jets got a solid performance out of WR Elijah Moore, who caught eight passes for one TD and 141 yards. That receiving effort made it the first game that Moore has posted more than 100 yards receiving.
This next contest is expected to be close, with the Texans going off at just a 2.5-point favorite. Those playing the odds have seen things go back and forth with Houston, who are 5-5 against the spread.
New York's defeat took them down to 2-8 while Houston's win pulled them up to 2-8. Allowing an average of 32 points per game, the Jets haven't exactly asserted themselves on the defensive end. We'll see if they can patch up the holes in their defense before their upcoming matchup.
