Texans vs. Colts: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Texans vs. Colts football game
The Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans are set to square off in an AFC South matchup at 1 p.m. ET Dec. 5 at NRG Stadium. Given that these two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Indianapolis might have drawn first blood against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week, but it was Tampa Bay who got the last laugh. The Colts came up short against the Buccaneers, falling 38-31. Indianapolis' defeat came about despite a quality game from RB Jonathan Taylor, who punched in one rushing touchdown.
Houston came within a touchdown against the New York Jets last week, but they wound up with a 21-14 loss. No one had a standout game offensively for Houston, but they got scores from WR Brandin Cooks and TE Brevin Jordan. QB Tyrod Taylor ended up with a passer rating of 134.10.
Indianapolis is the favorite in this one, with an expected 10-point margin of victory. Those burned by picking them against the spread last week might want to keep in mind that the team has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.
The losses put the Colts at 6-6 and the Texans at 2-9. A pair of offensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Indianapolis ranks second in the NFL when it comes to rushing touchdowns, with 17 on the season. Less enviably, Houston is worst in the league in overall offensive touchdowns, with only 18 on the season. So the cards are definitely stacked against Houston.
