Seahawks vs. Giants: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Seahawks vs. Giants football game
Game Recap
The Seattle Seahawks entered their matchup against the New York Giants on Sunday without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. The Seahawks didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 17-12 to New York. That's the fewest points Seattle has scored all season.
New York's RB Wayne Gallman was one of the most active players for the squad, picking up 135 yards on the ground on 16 carries. That nimble footwork stands out as the first time Gallman has hit the 100-yard rushing mark this season. On the other hand, one thorn in the Giants' side was the less-than-spectacular play of QB Colt McCoy, who threw one interception with only 4.77 yards per passing attempt.
Seattle's loss came about despite a quality game from RB Chris Carson, who snatched one receiving TD.
Seattle's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4. The win improved New York's record to 5-7.
The Seahawks have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome the New York Jets at 4:05 p.m. ET Dec. 13 at Lumen Field. Like Seattle, New York is looking to wash their mouths of the taste of defeat after falling 31-28 to the Las Vegas Raiders. As for the Giants, they will face off against the Arizona Cardinals at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday at MetLife Stadium. Unlike New York, Arizona will be stumbling in off of a loss.
