Game Recap
The New Orleans Saints fell to the Carolina Panthers 26-7 in the teams' previous meeting last September; this time around, they exacted some revenge. New Orleans took their matchup against Carolina on Sunday 18-10.
No one had a standout game offensively for the Saints, but they got one touchdown from RB Alvin Kamara. QB Taysom Hill ended up with a passer rating of 139.10. New Orleans also got a nice defensive effort from DE Cameron Jordan, who took down the quarterback 3.5 times.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, which contributed 12. K Brett Maher delivered a perfect 4-for-4 game.
Carolina's only offensive touchdown came from RB Chuba Hubbard.
The win got New Orleans back to even at 8-8. The Panthers, 5-11, have officially been eliminated from playoff contention.
The Saints will take on the Atlanta Falcons at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Atlanta took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse New Orleans' good fortune. As for Carolina, they will go up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday at Raymond James Stadium. Tampa Bay is 8-3 after wins this season, and Carolina is 2-8 after losses.
