Game Recap
QB Taysom Hill had a quiet outing against the San Francisco 49ers last week, but he sure didn't disappoint Sunday. Hill accumulated 233 passing yards in addition to rushing for two TDs and 51 yards as the New Orleans Saints beat the Atlanta Falcons 24-9. Hill ended up with a passer rating of 163.40. Hill's sharp performance set his single-game rushing touchdown high for the season.
Atlanta couldn't find the end zone and got their points from three field goals. One thing working slightly against the Falcons was the run-of-the-mill game of their most targeted running back, RB Todd Gurley, who rushed for 26 yards on eight carries.
The victory bumped New Orleans' record up to 8-2. Atlanta's loss pushed them down to 3-7.
New Orleans will take on the Denver Broncos at 4:05 p.m. ET next week at Empower Field at Mile High. New Orleans is cruising in on a seven-game winning streak while Denver is stumbling in off of three consecutive losses. The Falcons will take on the Las Vegas Raiders at 1 p.m. ET next week at home. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
