Raiders vs. Giants Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Raiders vs. Giants football game
The Giants have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Las Vegas Raiders at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium. The Giants are expected to lose this one by two points, so we'll see if that gives them a bit of motivation.
The Giants fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Jets on Sunday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Jets by a score of 13-10.
The team lost despite holding the Jets to a paltry 251 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to the Giants' ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out four times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Kayvon Thibodeaux and his three sacks.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, the Giants weren't very productive in the air and finished the game with only seven passing yards. They were demolished by their opponents in that department as the Jets passed for 240.
Meanwhile, the Raiders came up short against the Lions on Monday and fell 26-14. Las Vegas has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The Giants have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Las Vegas, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5.
Not only did the two teams lose their last games, but neither team managed to cover the spread. As for their next game, the match is expected to be close, with the Raiders going off as just a 2.5-point favorite. This contest will be the Giants' seventh straight as the underdogs (so far over this stretch they are 2-3-1 against the spread).
