The Carolina Panthers are not very good on special teams. It'd been 164 games since Carolina scored on a punt return, dating back to the Steve Smith days of punt returns.
Until Philly Brown decided to play until the whistle Sunday against the Bears. Brown was back returning a punt and was interfered with. A flag was thrown, but no whistle was blown and when the ball came rolling towards him he snagged it up and sprinted to the house for a touchdown.
Outstanding, heads-up play from the guy with maybe my favorite name in football.
