The Baltimore Ravens will square off against the Detroit Lions at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday at Ford Field. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Baltimore has to be feeling especially confident now that the spread is in their favor.
It was a tight game that could have gone either way, but the Ravens made off with a 36-35 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs last week. Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson earned his paycheck as he passed for one TD and 239 yards on 26 attempts in addition to rushing for two TDs and 107 yards. Jackson ended up with a passer rating of 143.80.
There was early excitement for Detroit after they claimed the game's first points this past Monday, but it was the Green Bay Packers who ended up claiming the real prize. The Lions took a 35-17 bruising from Green Bay. The losing side was boosted by QB Jared Goff, who passed for two TDs and 246 yards on 36 attempts in addition to picking up 46 yards on the ground. Goff ended up with a passer rating of 142.40.
Baltimore's win lifted them to 1-1 while Detroit's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. We'll see if Baltimore can repeat their recent success or if Detroit bounces back and reverse their fortune.
