Owner/GM Jerry Jones said CB Mike Jenkins will play a “vital” role in 2012 and doesn’t expect to trade him as he enters the final year of his contract. Jenkins’ name has been linked to possible trades after the team drafted Morris Claiborne, signed veteran Brandon Carr in free agency and gave Orlando Scandrick a five-year extension last August.
