Game Recap
The Jacksonville Jaguars weren't able to make up for their loss to the Detroit Lions from their previous meeting in November of 2016. This past Sunday, the Jaguars lost to Detroit at home by a decisive 34-16 margin. Jacksonville's defeat continues a disappointing trend for the squad, making it five in a row.
Among those leading the charge for the Lions was RB D'Andre Swift, who rushed for two TDs and 116 yards on 14 carries. This was the first time Swift has racked up 100+ rushing yards all year. Swift's sharp performance also set his single-game rushing touchdown high for the season. WR Kenny Golladay also helped out with an impressive 105 receiving yards in the victory.
No one had a standout game offensively for Jacksonville, but QB Gardner Minshew led the way with two touchdowns.
Jacksonville's defeat pushed them down to 1-5. The win improved Detroit's record to 2-3.
The Jaguars will take on the Los Angeles Chargers at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday at SoFi Stadium. Jacksonville is 0-4 after losses this season, Los Angeles 0-3. The Lions are on the road again on Sunday and play against the Atlanta Falcons at 1 p.m. ET Oct. 25 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Atlanta's offense will be looking to get out and run against an Atlanta squad that has given up 31 points on average this season.
