Cornerback Crezdon Butler, who appeared to be in the running for a starting spot, has been cut by the Bills, according to WGR-550. Butler looked like a viable candidate to replace Stephon Gilmore, who is recovering from wrist surgery. That competition has been reduced to Justin Rogers and T.J. Heath.
Butler was a fifth-round pick by the Steelers in 2010. He has never started an NFL game, but he did take 19 snaps during his time with the Redskins and Bills last season.
