Colts vs. Jaguars Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Colts vs. Jaguars football game
The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Indianapolis Colts are set to square off in an AFC South matchup at 1 p.m. ET Nov. 14 at Lucas Oil Stadium. The teams split their matchups last year, with the Jaguars winning the first 27-20 at home and Indianapolis taking the second 28-14.
The Buffalo Bills typically have all the answers at home, but last week Jacksonville proved too difficult a challenge. Jacksonville narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Buffalo 9-6. The win came about even with Jacksonville handicapping themselves with 137 penalty yards. They couldn't find the end zone and got their points from three field goals.
Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. K Matthew Wright booted in three field goals, the longest a 55-yarder in the second quarter, which ultimately accounted for the difference in the game.
Meanwhile, the Colts had enough points to win and then some against the New York Jets last Thursday, taking their matchup 45-30. RB Jonathan Taylor continued his habit of dropping crazy stat lines, rushing for two TDs and 172 yards on 19 carries. Taylor put himself on the highlight reel with a 78-yard TD scramble down the right side of the field in the third quarter.
The Jaguars are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. Those who got lucky with them against the spread last week might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the team has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
Jacksonville is now 2-6 while the Colts sit at 4-5. A couple defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Jacksonville enters the contest with only 11 passing touchdowns allowed, good for fourth best in the league. As for Indianapolis, they rank first in the NFL when it comes to rushing touchdowns allowed, with only two on the season.
