TE Travis Kelce had a quiet outing against the Denver Broncos last week, but he sure didn't disappoint Sunday. QB Patrick Mahomes passed for five TDs and 416 yards on 42 attempts as the Kansas City Chiefs beat the New York Jets 35-9.
In addition to Mahomes, Kansas City got help from WR Tyreek Hill, who caught four passes for two TDs and 98 yards.
The victory bumped the Chiefs' record up to 7-1. New York's defeat pushed them down to 0-8.
Kansas City will play host again and welcome the Carolina Panthers to Arrowhead Stadium, where kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET next week. Kansas City is cruising in on a three-game winning streak while Carolina is stumbling in off of three consecutive losses. As for the Jets, they will face off against the New England Patriots at 8:15 p.m. ET next week at MetLife Stadium. These teams both have had a rocky road up to this point with eight consecutive losses for New York and four for New England.
