Game Recap
The Carolina Panthers' and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' game on Sunday was up for grabs at halftime, but the Panthers were thoroughly outmatched 31-10 in the second half. Carolina suffered a grim 41-17 defeat to the Buccaneers. Carolina hasn't found any success against Tampa Bay since Oct. 13 of 2019, this loss making it four in a row.
It was another big night for Tampa Bay's QB Tom Brady, who passed for three TDs and 326 yards on 37 attempts. WR Mike Evans was in the mix, too, providing Tampa Bay with two touchdowns.
No one had a standout game offensively for the Panthers, but they got scores from WR Robby Anderson and RB Chuba Hubbard. QB Sam Darnold ended up with a passer rating of 123.80.
Carolina, 5-12, has officially been eliminated from playoff contention. Now 13-4, the Buccaneers have officially clinched a playoff berth. With that, the NFC South playoffs come to an end.
