Despite a dramatic decline in production from his sophomore season (2010), RB Edwin Baker (round seven, 250th overall pick) came out after his junior year at Michigan State. Baker rushed for 1,201 yards (third-best in Big 10), and 13 TDs as a sophomore, but only rushed for 665 yards and five TDs as a junior. Baker explained that RB Larry Caper was injured at the start of his sophomore season. “That took me on a road to carry the team,” Baker said. In his junior season, however, the Spartans’ offense rotated three healthy RBs.
