  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Scorches Bucks for 54 points

Maxey tallied 54 points (18-30 FG, 6-15 3Pt, 12-14 FT), nine assists, five rebounds, three assists and three blocks over 46 minutes during the 76ers' 123-114 overtime win over the Bucks on Thursday. Paul George got off to a hot start in the first quarter in his return from a one-game absence, but it was the Maxey show for the 76ers the rest of the way. Maxey was particularly effective down the stretch, with 25 of his points coming in the fourth quarter and overtime, and it was the third time this season that he logged at least six three-pointers. Maxey's minutes will be worth monitoring as the 2025-26 campaign progresses; he has played 40-plus minutes in three of his last four games and is averaging a career-high 40.7 minutes per game this season. He'll continue to be the engine of the 76ers' offense, especially in games in which either one or both of George and Joel Embiid (knee) are not playing.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Good to go Thursday

Maxey (quadriceps) has been cleared to play Thursday against the Bucks, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Maxey was upgraded to probable on the injury report earlier in the day, so the report that he's available Thursday is no surprise. He continues to play at a high level, averaging 29.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.9 steals over his last seven appearances.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Probable for Thursday

Maxey is probable for Thursday's game against the Bucks with a right quadriceps contusion. Maxey is a little banged up for the second leg of this back-to-back set, but the star guard is expected to push through it. During the 76ers' 121-112 loss to the Raptors on Wednesday, Maxey produced 24 points (8-14 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine assists, two rebounds, three steals and one block over 39 minutes.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Erupts for 39 points in win

Maxey amassed 39 points (13-27 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 9-10 FT), six assists, three rebounds and one steal across 41 minutes in Monday's 110-108 win over the Clippers. Maxey delivered an efficient performance from the field en route to his eighth game with at least 30 points in 13 regular-season appearances thus far. The star point guard also tied for the team lead in assists after dishing out a season-low three dimes in Friday's loss to Detroit. Maxey continues to serve as Philadelphia's top offensive option, and over his last five outings, he has averaged 31.0 points, 6.4 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 39.2 minutes per contest.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Nears double-double in win

Maxey notched 21 points (5-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 8-8 FT), nine assists, five rebounds and one steal across 34 minutes in Tuesday's 102-100 win over the Celtics. Maxey struggled from the field and recorded a season-low 21 points, though he still finished as Philadelphia's second-leading scorer. The star point guard led all players in assists and finished one assist shy of his third double-double in 11 regular-season games. The 25-year-old has been impressive to start the season, and over his last five outings, he has averaged 30.2 points, 7.4 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks in 38.0 minutes per contest.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Game-high 31 points Saturday

Maxey registered 31 points (12-24 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven assists, four rebounds, two blocks and one steal over 43 minutes during the 76ers' 130-120 win over the Raptors on Saturday. Maxey and Joel Embiid (29 points) led the 76ers in scoring Saturday, with the former logging 27 of his 31 points through the first three quarters. Maxey has eclipsed 30 points five times this season and has dished out at least seven dimes in seven of the first nine games of the regular season. With Embiid playing under a minutes restriction and Paul George (knee) yet to make his 2025-26 debut, Maxey will continue to be the engine that powers the 76ers' offense. Through four games in November, Maxey is averaging 30.8 points, 7.0 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals over 39.3 minutes per game. During that span, he has shot 50.6 percent from the field and 44.1 percent from beyond the arc on 8.5 three-point attempts per contest.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Near double-double vs. Cleveland

Maxey registered 27 points (10-20 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-8 FT), nine assists, seven rebounds and one steal over 36 minutes during the 76ers' 132-121 loss to the Cavaliers on Wednesday. One night after scoring 39 points in a loss to the Bulls, Maxey once again led the 76ers in the point column while finishing one assist shy of his third double-double of the season. The All-Star guard has connected on at least 50.0 percent of his field-goal attempts in three of his last four games and is averaging 33.5 points, 8.5 assists, 5.1 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.0 blocks per game this season. However, his playing time over the course of the season will be worth monitoring, as he has opened the 2025-26 campaign by averaging 41.3 minutes per game.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Massive double-double in win

Maxey amassed 39 points (11-25 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 14-16 FT), 10 assists, three rebounds, one steal and one block across 47 minutes during Tuesday's 139-134 overtime win over the Wizards. Maxey led all players in points and assists, recording his first double-double of the season. The star point guard wasn't highly efficient from three-point range but got to the charity stripe often, falling just short of his third game with at least 40 points through four regular-season contests. Over that span, he's averaging 37.5 points, 8.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 43.0 minutes per game.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Pours in 43 points in win

Maxey led the 76ers to a 136-124 victory over the Magic on Monday with 43 points (15-32 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 9-10 FT), four rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one turnover in 42 minutes. The Magic were unable to keep Maxey out of the paint Monday, and he made them pay dearly. Maxey has gotten off to a torrid start this season, with two 40-point games in his first three contests, so he's a big reason why the 76ers have gone undefeated to open the season. The only concern would be that he's logging over 40 minutes a game, which could certainly take its toll over time.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Nears double-double in win

Maxey amassed 28 points (7-20 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 10-12 FT), nine assists, six rebounds and one block across 42 minutes in Saturday's 125-121 win over the Hornets. After scoring 40 points in Wednesday's season-opening win over Boston, Maxey recorded a game-high 28 points against Charlotte. The star point guard also led all players in assists and has dished out 15 through two games. The Sixers have plenty of mouths to feed, but Maxey should continue to serve as the team's top option on the offensive end while Joel Embiid -- who posted 20 points in 20 minutes -- remains on a minutes restriction.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Nets 27 points with seven assists

Maxey produced 27 points (10-17 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, seven assists, two steals, one block and three turnovers in 30 minutes during Friday's 126-110 preseason win over the Timberwolves. Maxey once again led the 76ers in scoring, as was the case in his three previous preseason games, establishing what will likely be a common pattern this season. Maxey has been very aggressive seeking out his own shot, but he's also done a nice job of distributing the rock. He should be an elite source of points, triples and dimes as he enters his age-25 season, making him an attractive, early-round target on draft day.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Drops 17 points in 12 minutes

Maxey popped off for 17 points (7-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt), two assists and three triples in just 12 minutes of action during Friday's preseason loss to the Magic. Maxey has looked great through the preseason thus far, so managers can feel confident investing an early-round pick on the sixth-year guard on draft day. Yes, he did experience some freak injuries last season that limited him to just 52 games, but he's only two years removed from a 70-game, All-Star-caliber season. He looks ready to bounce back in a big way.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Busy in limited action Thursday

Maxey logged 14 points (5-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in 23 minutes during Thursday's 99-84 preseason loss to the Knicks. With Joel Embiid (knee) and Paul George (knee) sidelined, Maxey operated as the offensive focal point Thursday. If either Embiid or George ends up being limited to start the season, Maxey would be in a position to rack up even more counting stats. The 76ers effectively shut down the star guard late last year while he nursed a sprained right finger, but Maxey looks to be fully healthy for the preseason.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Active to start camp

Maxey (finger) has been a full go at training camp, Adam Aaronson of Philly Voice reports. Maxey hasn't played since March 4 due to a lower back sprain and a sprained right finger, but there was no mention of either injury at Media Day, which suggests that he's been 100 percent for quite some time. With both Joel Embiid (knee) and Paul George (knee) hobbling at the start of training camp, Maxey is likely to soak up a ton of usage in the early going.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Out for remainder of season

The 76ers are expected to shut down Maxey (finger) for the rest of the 2024-25 season, a source tells Shams Charania of ESPN. Maxey hasn't played since March 4 due to a lower back sprain and a sprained right finger. The 76ers have been listing Maxey only with the finger issue on their recent injury reports, but he's still experiencing discomfort during the rehab process and will need further treatment. With the 76ers eliminated from postseason contention and with just six games left on their schedule, the team will be cautious with the 24-year-old and elect to shut him down for the season. Quentin Grimes, Lonnie Walker and Jared Butler have been handling most of the backcourt minutes recently, but Kyle Lowry returned to game action Tuesday following a lengthy absence and could also factor into the mix. Maxey should make a full recovery ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, and there's been no mention of him requiring surgery on the finger.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Remains out for Thursday

Maxey (finger) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Bucks, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports. Maxey will miss a 17th straight game for the 76ers due to a sprained finger on his right hand. Philadelphia will likely continue to lean on Jared Butler to shoulder the load as the starting point guard, with Quentin Grimes and Lonnie Walker also seeing extra usage.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Deemed day-to-day

Coach Nick Nurse said Tuesday that Maxey (finger) practiced Friday and continues to work out but is considered day-to-day moving forward, Sam DiGiovanni of ClutchPoints.com reports. Maxey hasn't played since March 3 due to a right finger sprain but appears to be nearing a return to action. However, with Philadelphia currently sitting at 13th in the Eastern Conference, it remains to be seen if they will risk the health of their star guard by having him return before the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Another absence coming

Maxey (finger) will not play Tuesday against the Knicks. Maxey will sit out for a 16th straight game, and there's still no target date for his return. Back on March 26, head coach Nick Nurse said there was still some hope that Maxey would return before the end of the regular season. In the meantime, players such as Jared Butler and Lonnie Walker will likely continue to see an uptick in minutes.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Could return before season's end

Philadelphia head coach Nick Nurse updated Maxey's status Wednesday, claiming the hope is he'll return before the end of the season, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports. Maxey will miss a 13th straight game for the 76ers on Wednesday due to back and finger injuries. Jared Butler and Jeff Dowtin will likely continue to shoulder the bulk of the load in the backcourt with Maxey still on the mend and no clear timetable for his return to the floor.

  • 76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Out again Monday

Maxey (back/finger) will not play Monday against the Pelicans. Maxey will miss his 12th game in a row as he continues to manage a lower back sprain and a finger sprain. The 76ers haven't offered an indication that Maxey is close to resuming playing, so he looks unlikely to return to action for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.
