Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Flirts with triple-double Friday
Jaquez logged 23 points (9-20 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-8 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists and one block over 34 minutes during the Heat's 140-132 loss to the Knicks on Friday.
Jaquez did a little bit of everything during Friday's loss, and the third-year pro finished second on the Heat in points, rebounds and assists behind Norman Powell (38 points), Kel'el Ware (10 rebounds) and Davion Mitchell (10 assists), respectively. Jaquez has enjoyed a larger role off the bench due in large part to the absence of Tyler Herro (heel) to start the 2025-26 campaign. Through eight games in November, Jaquez has averaged 18.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists over 30.8 minutes per contest.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Double-doubles in OT win
Jaquez popped off for 22 points (7-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 13 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, two blocks and two turnovers in 33 minutes during Monday's 140-138 overtime win over the Cavaliers.
Jaquez, who posted his fourth 20-point game this season, brought some great energy off the bench in this one, immediately impacting the game with his playmaking, aggression on the glass and active hands on defense. He drilled a clutch shot with seven seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime, and he then came through again with another big bucket in the closing minute of overtime to put Miami up by three. Donovan Mitchell then countered with an wild, miracle three-pointer with 0.4 seconds left to tie it up, but Andrew Wiggins was able to seal the deal with a game-winning, alley-oop jam on Miami's final inbounds play.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Available to play Saturday
Jaquez (ankle) will be available to play Saturday against the Trail Blazers, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Jaquez limped off the floor during the closing minute of Friday's win over the Hornets after tweaking his ankle, but he'll power through it and suit up in Saturday's matchup. Jaquez has been in a groove over the Heat's past two games, scoring in double figures twice while dishing out 11 dimes, and he's shot 17-for-29 from the field over the hot stretch.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Questionable Saturday
Jaquez (ankle) is questionable to play in Saturday's game against the Cavaliers.
Jaquez is dealing with an ankle injury, which could keep him on the sideline for the first time this season. If he's ruled out, the team will likely turn to Dru Smith and Kasparas Jakucionis off the bench.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Exits game with ankle sprain
Jaquez chipped in 18 points (8-15 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, nine assists and two blocks over 33 minutes during Friday's 126-108 win over the Hornets.
This was arguably Jaquez's best performance of the season, but unfortunately, he tweaked his left ankle during the closing minute of regulation and limped his way to the locker room. He'll be re-evaluated ahead of Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers, but there's a chance both he and Norman Powell (ankle) could be missing in action after both suffered ankle sprains. That would create a ton of opportunity for Nikola Jovic, particularly if Bam Adebayo (foot) is out again.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Leads bench with 21 points
Jaquez recorded 21 points (9-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal over 26 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 122-112 loss to the Nuggets.
It's the third time in the last five games Jaquez has topped 20 points, although he managed just six points in each of the other two contests. The third-year forward is emerging as the leader of Miami's second unit, averaging 17.4 points, 6.3 boards, 4.3 assists and 0.9 steals in 29.1 minutes a contest to kick off the season.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Strikes for season-high 31 in loss
Jaquez totaled 31 points (11-16 FG, 9-13 FT), eight rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 130-120 loss to the Lakers.
The third-year forward led all scorers on the night as he set a new personal best in points on the young season. Jaquez is quickly putting his sophomore struggles behind him, and through six games as the leader of the Heat's second unit, he's averaging 18.7 points, 6.8 boards and 4.5 assists in 30.2 minutes a contest while shooting a stunning 63.8 percent from the floor.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Regresses in reserve role
Jaquez provided six points (2-8 FG, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds and six assists over 34 minutes during Thursday's 107-101 loss to the Spurs.
Although Jaquez turned in decent secondary totals, he finished with his first single-digit scoring total of the season in the defeat. He regressed despite recording his highest minute total of the season, indicating that his floor might not be as high as originally thought. He's been a fantasy darling in winning DFS lineups this season, and a larger sample size is needed from the UCLA product before he's off the board completely.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Erupts for 28 bench points
Jaquez collected 28 points (9-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 8-8 FT), four rebounds, five assists and one steal across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 144-117 win over Charlotte.
Jaquez led the Heat in scoring despite beyond deployed off the bench, taking full advantage of his looks on the offensive end. He was also productive as a distributor and has dished out five or more assists in each of his past three games. Jaquez is off to a strong start to the 2025-26 campaign, averaging 18.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.3 steals in four appearances.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Another strong showing
Jaquez ended Sunday's 115-107 win over the Knicks with 17 points (8-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and five assists in 27 minutes.
Jaquez, who was coming off a letdown of a 2024-25 campaign, certainly seems to have found his stride to open the new season. Through the first three games, he's second on the Heat in nine-category fantasy value with averages of 15.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals. He's shooting a red-hot 71.0 percent from the field, however, and that's obviously not sustainable.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Efficient in season opener
Jaquez amassed 13 points (6-7 FG, 0-1 3 Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, two steals and an assist over 30 minutes in Wednesday's 125-121 loss to Orlando.
Jaquez led all bench players in minutes and rebounds, and tied with Simone Fontecchio to pace the rest of the second unit in scoring. He also played seven more minutes than starter Nikola Jovic, indicating that despite not starting, Jaquez still has a vital role within the team moving forward.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Tallies team-high 17 points
Jaquez amassed 17 points (7-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one block in 26 minutes during Monday's preseason loss to Atlanta.
Jaquez shifted back to the bench following a spot start in Sunday's game against the Magic. Despite the move, Jaquez delivered his best game of the preseason, an encouraging sign for a player who failed to live up to expectations during his sophomore season. With Tyler Herro (ankle) out to begin the season, Jaquez could very well find himself in a slightly increased role. He is not worth drafting in most standard leagues but is worth keeping an eye on, just in case he rediscovers some of the form from his rookie campaign.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Returns to bench
Jaquez won't start Monday's preseason game against the Hawks.
With Miami resting its regulars, Jaquez started Sunday against the Magic and posted nine points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and two assists in 15 minutes. After a strong rookie campaign, Jaquez took a step back last season. He's looking to rebound in Year 3 and take advantage of Tyler Herro's (ankle) absence to start the regular season.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Joins first unit
Jaquez will start Sunday's preseason game against Orlando, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The Heat are resting Bam Adebayo, Andrew Wiggins and Norman Powell, while Nikola Jovic (back) is out. Jaquez, who is coming off a letdown of a sophomore season, has looked sharp in the preseason thus far.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Productive off bench
Jaquez finished with 19 points (6-8 FG, 7-7 FT), three rebounds and one assist across 28 minutes of Wednesday's 112-107 preseason loss to the Spurs.
After starting the first two preseason games, Jaquez came off the bench Wednesday with the Heat giving Dru Smith a look in the starting lineup. Regardless of whether he starts or not, Jaquez has been a bright spot in the preseason, and it seems like coach Erik Spoelstra is going to rely on him quite a bit in the absence of Tyler Herro (ankle).

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Coming off bench Wednesday
Jaquez will come off the bench for Wednesday's preseason game against the Spurs, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.
Jaquez started each of Miami's first two preseason games, but he'll retreat to a reserve role Wednesday. Dru Smith replaces him in the first five. Still, expect Jaquez to hold a significant role off the bench.

Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Starts another preseason game
Jaquez finished with nine points (3-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two turnovers across 23 minutes of Monday's 103-93 preseason loss to the Bucks.
Notably, Jaquez has started both preseason games for the Heat so far. With the team aiming to play at a faster pace, the Heat are leaning into smaller lineups so far, which benefits guys like Jaquez and Nikola Jovic. With Tyler Herro (ankle) sidelined to begin the season, Jaquez appears to be picking up steam as a candidate to start on Opening Night.
