Bulls' Coby White: Running and shooting pain-free
White (calf) is "completely pain-free" and has been running and getting shots up at practice.
"Just talking to the medical, here's the problem: Like [White] doesn't have any pain at all with what he's doing," Bulls coach Billy Donovan said Monday. "He's on the court shooting, he's able to jog, but what ended up happening and what became a problem when we were playing competitively in practice were those stops, starts, quick explosiveness that maybe he's not doing a lot of that in individual workout." Donovan added that they want to be extra cautious bringing him back to avoid any setbacks, so while he'll be re-evaluated sometime within the next week, it doesn't sound like he's particularly close to getting back to the court.

Bulls' Coby White: Re-evaluated in two weeks
The Bulls announced Monday that White (calf) will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
This is a tough blow for the Bulls, as previous reports had indicated that White would be available for Opening Night. White has resumed on-court basketball activities and continues to make progress in his ramp up phase for a right calf strain, but it sounds like the Bulls are going to proceed with caution. Based on this timetable, White will be re-evaluated Nov. 3, but there's no guarantee he returns right after that. For now, White can be safely ruled out for the first six games of the regular season. In his absence, the Bulls could turn to Tre Jones and Ayo Dosunmu, with Josh Giddey picking up more usage as well.

Bulls' Coby White: Expected to play Opening Night
White (calf) is expected to play Opening Night against the Pistons on Oct. 22, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
White, who missed the entire preseason with a calf strain, will practice in full Saturday. Over the next few days, the Bulls will ramp him up with some contact work as the final stage of his rehab. Assuming there are no setbacks, White will have the green light for Opening Night.

Bulls' Coby White: Not expected to play in preseason
Bulls coach Billy Donovan said that while he expects Coby White (calf) to be ready by Opening Night, he doesn't anticipate him suiting up during the preseason, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
White is in the final stages of recovery from a calf strain, and while he reportedly feels pretty good, there's just not enough "ramp-up time" to get him on the court for one of Chicago's final two exhibition games. It sounds like White will be good to go for Opening Night, but don't be surprised if he's eased into things after not getting any preseason reps.

Bulls' Coby White: Targeting final preseason game
The Bulls are hoping to have White (calf) available for their final preseason game Oct. 16 against the Timberwolves, Chuck Swirsky of the Bulls Radio Network reports.
White is working his way back from a calf strain that he suffered in August. He hasn't been cleared to return to practice yet, and this report means he'll miss at least four of Chicago's five exhibitions. However, he has a chance to play prior to Opening Night, which bodes well for his availability to begin the regular season.

Bulls' Coby White: Misses practice Monday
White (calf) remained sidelined for Monday's practice, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
White is working his way back from a calf strain that he suffered in August. It remains to be seen if his absence will extend into the regular season, but the Bulls are likely to tread carefully. Bulls' Coby White: Limited with calf injury
Bulls executive vice president Arturas Karnisovas said Monday that White (calf) will be limited in training camp, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
White is working his way back from a calf strain suffered in August, with the Bulls taking a cautious approach to his ramp-up. Arturas Karnisovas suggested the team hopes to have him available by the end of the preseason but stopped short of guaranteeing it. The guard is set for a primary role in Chicago after continuing his scoring ascent last year, averaging a career-high 20.4 points along with 4.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds on 45.3 percent shooting and 37.0 percent from deep across 74 regular-season games.
