  • Bulls' Coby White: Targeting final preseason game

The Bulls are hoping to have White (calf) available for their final preseason game Oct. 16 against the Timberwolves, Chuck Swirsky of the Bulls Radio Network reports.

White is working his way back from a calf strain that he suffered in August. He hasn't been cleared to return to practice yet, and this report means he'll miss at least four of Chicago's five exhibitions. However, he has a chance to play prior to Opening Night, which bodes well for his availability to begin the regular season.

  • Bulls' Coby White: Misses practice Monday

White (calf) remained sidelined for Monday's practice, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.

White is working his way back from a calf strain that he suffered in August. It remains to be seen if his absence will extend into the regular season, but the Bulls are likely to tread carefully. White is coming off a breakout 2024-25 campaign in which he posted regular-season averages of 20.4 points, 4.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds.

  • Bulls' Coby White: Limited with calf injury

Bulls executive vice president Arturas Karnisovas said Monday that White (calf) will be limited in training camp, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.

White is working his way back from a calf strain suffered in August, with the Bulls taking a cautious approach to his ramp-up. Arturas Karnisovas suggested the team hopes to have him available by the end of the preseason but stopped short of guaranteeing it. The guard is set for a primary role in Chicago after continuing his scoring ascent last year, averaging a career-high 20.4 points along with 4.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds on 45.3 percent shooting and 37.0 percent from deep across 74 regular-season games.

White provided a lift to Chicago offensively in Wednesday's season finale, leading all Bulls in assists and threes made while finishing as one of three players with 15 or more points in the Play-In Tournament contest. White finished the season off strongly on the offensive end of the floor, posting at least 15 points and four assists in six of his last seven games of the year.

  • Bulls' Coby White: Lights it up from deep to lead team

White racked up 37 points (12-16 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 7-7 FT), two rebounds, five assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Sunday's 131-117 victory over the Hornets.

White was red-hot from three in Sunday's battle, leading all players in threes made and scoring while finishing second among Bulls in assists to go along with a team-high-tying pair of steals defensively. White posted his sixth outing of the season with 35 or more points, doing so in four of his last 10 appearances.

  • Bulls' Coby White: Erupts for 31 against Portland

White notched 31 points (9-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 11-12 FT), five rebounds and seven assists in 35 minutes during Friday's 118-113 victory over the Trail Blazers.

The 25-year-old guard continues to surge toward the playoffs. White has drained at least one three-pointer in 13 straight games, averaging 27.5 points, 4.5 boards, 4.4 assists and 2.9 threes over that stretch while shooting 51.3 percent from the floor and 40.9 percent from long distance. However, Lonzo Ball (wrist) could return to the lineup as soon as Sunday, likely cutting into White's usage.

  • Bulls' Coby White: Game-high 28 points Tuesday

White registered 28 points (10-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, six assists and two steals in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 137-118 victory over Toronto.

White led all scorers Tuesday while shooting an efficient 62.5 percent from the field. It was a nice bounce-back effort from his seven-point outing against the Thunder on Monday, and he has scored at least 20 points in all but one game since Feb. 28. Over that span, White has averaged 27.5 points on 49.7 percent shooting (including 37.1 percent from three on 8.2 3PA/G), 4.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.0 steals over 35.4 minutes per contest.

White amassed seven points (2-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one assist and one steal in 23 minutes during Monday's 145-117 loss to the Thunder.

White was limited to 23 minutes Monday and struggled badly against one of the best defensive teams in the NBA, and this seven-point effort signaled the end of his 15-game streak with at least 20 points. White was magnificent throughout the month of March, though, averaging 27.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest.
