Hornets' Jaylen Sims: Drops 25 points in SL win
Sims supplied 25 points (10-14 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal across 25 minutes in Saturday's 109-80 Summer League win over the Thunder.
Sims posted a team-high mark in three-pointers en route to a game-high 25 points during an extremely efficient outing. The 26-year-old appeared in 49 outings with the G League's Greensboro Swarm in 2024-25, during which he averaged 19.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 33.0 minutes per game. Now, the Hornets will face the Kings in Sunday's championship game.

Hornets' Jaylen Sims: Back with Charlotte
Sims signed a rest-of-season contract with the Hornets on Sunday.
Sims averaged 6.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 18.2 minutes per game across five outings with the Hornets since signing his first 10-day contract April 3. He's eligible to play in Charlotte's regular-season finale against the Celtics on Sunday but will likely operate behind KJ Simpson and Damion Baugh.

Jaylen Sims: Reaches free agency
Sims became a free agent Saturday after his 10-day contract with the Hornets expired.
After inking his 10-day deal on April 3, Sims appeared in each of the Hornets' ensuing five games, averaging 6.0 points, 2.0 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 18.2 minutes. Charlotte would have to re-sign Sims to a rest-of-season contract prior to Sunday's game against the Celtics in order to make him eligible to play in the finale.

Hornets' Jaylen Sims: Inks 10-day deal with Charlotte
The Hornets signed Sims to a 10-day contract Thursday, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Before agreeing to a short-term contract with the Hornets on Thursday, Sims spent all his time with the G League's Greensboro Swarm during the 2024-25 campaign. In 49 games with the Swarm, the 26-year-old guard averaged 19.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 steals per game, shooting 44.3 percent from the floor and 37.5 percent from deep.
