Magic's Noah Penda: Sitting out Friday
Penda (rest) is out for Friday's Summer League game against the Mavericks, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Penda has sat out for rest purposes earlier in the Summer League as well, so it's not a surprise to see the Magic continue to manage his reps during exhibition play. The 2025 second-rounder has started three contests this summer, averaging 11.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 27.5 minutes per game.

Magic's Noah Penda: Impresses in SL
Penda generated 17 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-3 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one block across 27 minutes of Wednesday's 94-90 Summer League loss to Brooklyn.
Penda scored in double figures for the first time in Summer League, scoring 17 points on great efficiency. A 2025 second-round pick, Penda is averaging 11.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals over three Summer League contests.

Magic's Noah Penda: Won't play Tuesday
Penda (rest) will not play in Tuesday's Summer League game against the Thunder, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Penda will be held out for the first half of the Magic's back-to-back set, with their next game scheduled for Wednesday against the Nets. The No. 32 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft will rest alongside teammates Jase Richardson and Tristan da Silva.

Magic's Noah Penda: Grabs 14 rebounds in SL loss
Penda recorded nine points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 14 points, three steals, two assists and a block in 30 minutes during Sunday's 89-86 Summer League loss to the Raptors.
Penda put together a strong stat line in his second Summer League game, posting a game-high in rebounds. Penda was also impactful on the defensive end, matching a game-high with three steals and adding a block. An area Penda will look to improve moving forward is his accuracy from beyond the arc, as he has connected on just one of six three-point attempts thus far at Summer League.

Magic's Noah Penda: Inks four-year deal with Orlando
Penda signed a four-year, $8.7 million deal with the Magic, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Penda ended up with the Magic following a draft-night trade that sent the No. 46 and 57 picks to the Celtics in exchange for Penda at No. 32. He will join a contending Magic squad on a four-year deal that includes two years fully guaranteed, with a third-year trigger date and fourth-year team option. It could be an uphill battle for Penda to crack the rotation to start the season, but his hard-nosed defense could give him a path to becoming a steady contributor as the campaign progresses.

Magic's Noah Penda: Joining Orlando
Penda was selected by the Magic with the No. 32 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
The Celtics made this pick but the Magic will give up pick No. 46 and 57 to move up. Penda suited up for Le Mans Sarthe Basket in France during the 2024-25 campaign and put up solid numbers as a 20-year-old forward. He averaged 10.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 blocks in 26.9 minutes over 29 appearances, and while he's still developing his long-range shot, he really pops off the page as a hard-nosed defender and a solid facilitator of the basketball.
