Wizards' Alex Sarr: Set to return Saturday
Sarr (toe) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Saturday's game against the Bulls.
A left toe injury sidelined Sarr for the Wizards' last two games, but the 2024 No. 2 overall pick has been cleared to play in Saturday's road contest. Sarr's return means Tristan Vukcevic will likely revert to a bench role, though the latter could still see meaningful minutes due to the absence of Marvin Bagley (hip). In his eight games prior to his toe injury, Sarr averaged 18.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.3 blocks over 29.9 minutes per game while shooting 50.8 percent from the field.

Wizards' Alex Sarr: Won't play Friday
Sarr (toe) has been ruled out for Friday's game in Toronto.
This will be the second straight game on the sidelines for Sarr, and his next chance to play will come Saturday in Chicago. Sarr put together a respectable final line, highlighted by team highs in rebounds and blocks. Washington exercised its 2026-27 team option on Sarr on Thursday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
This was a formality for the Wizards, with the team locking in their franchise center through the 2026-27 season with this $12.67 million option. Through the first four regular-season games, Sarr has been excellent with averages of 19.0 points, 8.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 three-pointers.

Sarr attempted 5.1 three-pointers per game last season but converted only 30.8 percent of those shots, so he's mostly abandoned the deep ball this season. Through the first three games of his 2025-26 campaign, he's attempted just three three-pointers, which has helped lead to solid shooting percentages. It looks like he's going to focus on getting more efficient buckets this season, which could be a boon for his fantasy value.

Sarr struggled to score efficiently from the field, and that was a consistent theme during his rookie season. And if Thursday was any indication, Sarr has the green light to shoot from beyond the arc as he continues to expand his game.
