Justin Minaya: Waived by Orlando
The Magic waived Minaya on Sunday, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Minaya signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Magic for training camp, but he will ultimately be waived. The 26-year-old pro will look for a new landing spot after averaging just 5.3 minutes per contest across 19 games last season for the Trail Blazers.

Magic's Justin Minaya: Signing with Magic
Minaya has agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Magic, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
The contract gives Minaya an opportunity to secure a two-way spot with the Magic ahead of the 2025-26 season. The 26-year-old swingman logged a mere 5.3 minutes per game over 19 regular-season appearances with the Trail Blazers a year ago, so Minaya likely won't see much playing time with the parent club even if he makes the cut this fall.

Trail Blazers' Justin Minaya: Logs season highs in finale
Minaya produced five points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 18 minutes during Sunday's 109-81 victory over the Lakers.
Minaya received fairly significant playing time during the club's regular-season finale, posting season-high marks in rebounds, assists and minutes. He also tied his season highs in points and steals. The 26-year-old two-way player will be a restricted free agent ahead of the 2025-26 season following a career-worst campaign in which he finished with averages of 0.9 points, 0.5 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 0.3 steals across 5.3 minutes per game in 19 regular-season appearances.

Trail Blazers' Justin Minaya: Logs season-high 14 minutes
Minaya logged five points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt), one assist, one block and one steal in 14 minutes during Sunday's 120-109 win over the Spurs.
Minaya logged double-digit minutes for the second straight game while scoring a season-high five points. The Trail Blazers have won three of their past four games, ending what has been a disappointing season on a positive note. It wouldn't be surprising to see Minaya stick in the rotation the rest of the way.

Trail Blazers' Justin Minaya: Makes return in garbage time
Minaya (ankle) played the final 1:25 of Friday's 109-89 loss to the Thunder, scoring zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and recording no other statistics during his time on the court.
The two-way player made his first appearance at either the NBA or G League level since Jan. 29 after he had been sidelined for more than a month with a right ankle injury. Minaya was previously cleared to play Wednesday against the Celtics, but he went unused in the 10-point loss. Most of the third-year player's opportunities to see the court for Portland will likely come in garbage-time scenarios like Friday.

Trail Blazers' Justin Minaya: Deemed available for Wednesday
The Trail Blazers list Minaya (ankle) as available for Wednesday's game against the Celtics.
One of Portland's two-way players, Minaya hasn't played at the NBA or G League level since Jan. 29 due to a right ankle injury. The Trail Blazers seem to be comfortable with Minaya's health, as the team is listing him as active for the contest over fellow two-way player Sidy Cissoko, who hasn't been nursing an injury. Minaya is unlikely to be included in head coach Chauncey Billups' rotation, with any minutes the 25-year-old receives likely to come in a garbage-time scenario.

Trail Blazers' Justin Minaya: Cleared for Thursday
Minaya (ankle) is not included on the Trail Blazers' injury report for Thursday's game against the Kings.
The two-way player didn't appear in either of the G League Rip City Remix's last two games due to a right ankle injury, but he's apparently healthy enough to rejoin the parent club for Thursday's contest. Minaya has logged just 18 total minutes across six appearances with Portland this season and is unlikely to be featured in the rotation Thursday.

Minaya is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Rockets due to a left index finger sprain.
