Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Probable for Friday
Butler (back) is probable for Friday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Butler has missed only two games this season, and the probable tag suggests he might be able to return to action as quickly as Friday after sitting out Wednesday's loss to the Heat. The veteran forward is averaging 19.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.2 steals per game across nine appearances in November.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Won't go Wednesday
Butler (back) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Heat.
Butler was downgraded to doubtful earlier in the day due to a back issue and has now been announced out. This will mark his second absence of the 2025-26 season and will open the door for Buddy Hield, Gui Santos and Quinten Post in the frontcourt given the long list of injured Warriors.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Doubtful for Wednesday
ESPN's Shams Charania said on NBA Today that Butler (back) is not expected to play Wednesday against the Heat.
Butler is officially listed as questionable on the injury report. However, Stephen Curry (ankle), Al Horford (rest) and Jonathan Kuminga (knees) have already been ruled out, and Draymond Green (illness) is very iffy to suit up. It's hard to imagine the Warriors letting Butler play at less than 100 percent with all things considered. The Warriors will likely need guys like Will Richard, Gui Santos, Gary Payton and Pat Spencer to step into larger roles Wednesday.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Questionable for Wednesday
Butler is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Heat due to a right low back strain.
Butler posted 33 points (10-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 13-15 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and three steals across 38 minutes in Tuesday's 121-113 loss to the Magic, but he's in danger of missing the second half of Golden State's back-to-back set. Stephen Curry (ankle) and Al Horford (rest) have already been ruled out, while Draymond Green (illness) and Buddy Hield (illness) join Butler as questionable.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Drops 33 points in defeat
Butler contributed 33 points (10-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 13-15 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and three steals across 38 minutes in Tuesday's 121-113 loss to the Magic.
The veteran forward finished as the Warriors' second-leading scorer, with Stephen Curry scoring a game-high 34 points. Butler's 33 points were a season high, and it marked his first 30-plus-point performance since Opening Night against the Lakers. The 36-year-old also led the Warriors in rebounds and matched the team high in steals.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Records double-double in rout
Butler racked up 18 points (6-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, 10 assists and three steals over 31 minutes during Sunday's 124-106 win over the Pelicans.
It was Butler's second double-double of the year, and he tallied multiple steals in his fifth consecutive game. It's encouraging that the star forward has appeared in 14 of Golden State's first 15 games, considering he hasn't played at least 65 contests in a regular season since 2018-19. For the season, Butler has averaged 19.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.6 steals in 30.8 minutes per tilt.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Turns in 21 points
Butler notched 21 points (7-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-8 FT), eight rebounds, two steals and one assist across 35 minutes during Friday's 109-108 victory over the Spurs.
Although Stephen Curry's record-setting stat line was the highlight for the Warriors, Butler's contribution was essential in completing the two-game sweep of the Spurs. Butler averaged 24.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 steals over two games against San Antonio on the road. The hotly-contested two-game series served as a very early potential playoff preview, with the deadly combination of Curry and Butler ultimately prevailing.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Loaded line in win
Butler recorded 28 points (7-12 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 9-12 FT), six rebounds, eight assists and three steals over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 125-120 victory over the Spurs.
Even though Stephen Curry stole the show with a 46-point outburst in this tight win over the Spurs, Butler certainly made his presence felt on both ends of the court for Golden State. This 28-point output was his best scoring mark since he dropped 31 on Opening Night against the Lakers. He seems to be firmly entrenched as the Warriors' second-best offensive option behind Curry, a trend that should be even more notable if Jonathan Kuminga (knee) is forced to miss time. Butler is averaging 16.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.0 steals per game since the beginning of November.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Goes for 12 points Tuesday
Butler registered 12 points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-8 FT), three rebounds, three steals and two assists over 22 minutes during Tuesday's 126-102 loss to the Thunder.
Going 8-for-8 from the charity stripe salvaged Butler's overall performance, as the veteran forward attempted only three shots from the field all game long. Excluding the Phoenix game on Nov. 4 when Butler had to leave the game due to a back problem, this 12-point output was Butler's lowest scoring mark of the campaign. It's not uncommon to see star-caliber players having subpar performances occasionally, and Butler has enough talent to bounce back sooner than later. Fantasy managers shouldn't worry about one bad outing, so Butler should continue to be a starting-caliber asset.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Teases triple-double in win
Butler contributed 21 points (10-15 FG, 1-4 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals across 30 minutes during Sunday's 114-83 win over the Pacers.
With Stephen Curry (illness) not yet ready to rejoin the lineup, Butler put the Warriors on his shoulders, leading the team in scoring, rebounding and assists on the night while making an impact defensively. The 36-year-old forward has scored at least 20 in seven of 10 games to begin the season, averaging 18.9 points, 5.5 boards, 4.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.9 threes in 30.9 minutes a contest while shooting 50.4 percent from the floor and 40.9 percent from long distance.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Posts 16 points in return
Butler logged 16 points (5-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Friday's 129-104 loss to the Nuggets.
Butler did his best to keep Golden State's offense going, but Stephen Curry's (illness) absence proved to be insurmountable in the blowout loss. Butler's return wasn't enough to turn the tide for the Warriors, who slid to 5-5 after an encouraging start to the season. Butler showed no ill effects from the back ailment that sidelined him against the Kings, so he should be good to go against the Pacers this weekend.

After missing Wednesday's game against the Kings due to a back issue, Butler will return to the floor. The veteran star is currently averaging 19.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game, shooting 47.9 percent from the field and 47.4 percent from beyond the arc.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Participates in shootaround
Butler (back) went through Friday morning's shootaround, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Butler's presence at the session appears to put him on the right side of the questionable tag. The Warriors could wait until closer to tipoff of Friday's game against Denver before updating the star forward's status. With Stephen Curry (illness) already ruled out, Butler could be pushing to play.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Questionable for Friday
Butler (back) is questionable to play against the Nuggets on Friday.
Butler missed Wednesday's game against the Kings due to a back issue sustained in Tuesday's contest against the Suns. The questionable tag suggests that a decision on Butler's status will be made closer to Friday's 10 p.m. ET tipoff. Buddy Hield and Moses Moody would be candidates to play more minutes if Butler is out.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Will play Tuesday

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Won't return Tuesday
Butler won't return to Tuesday's game against the Suns due to lower back soreness.
Butler shed his questionable tag due to lower back soreness and suited up Tuesday, though he was unable to return for the second half. He'll finish with two points (1-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists in 14 minutes. Moses Moody and Buddy Hield are candidates for increased playing time with Butler sidelined, and his status will be worth monitoring ahead of Wednesday's matchup against the Kings.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Added to injury report Tuesday
Butler (back) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Suns.
Butler is a rather late addition to the injury report, which generally isn't a good sign. It's also worth noting that Tuesday is the front end of Golden State's back-to-back set. Brandin Podziemski would likely see a bump in minutes if Butler is out, while Moses Moody and Buddy Hield would have a clearer pathway to playing time.

Warriors' Jimmy Butler: Impressive final line in loss
Butler logged 20 points (6-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-9 FT), six rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two blocks in 34 minutes during Saturday's 114-109 loss to Indiana.
Butler posted one of his more impressive all-around performances of the young campaign, but it wasn't enough to will his team to a victory. He's put up 20 or more points in four straight appearances and has been a major factor defensively in his last two games, racking up four total steals and three blocks.
