It didn't take long for Amar'e Stoudemire to make an impact with the Dallas Mavericks. Shortly after he checked into the game against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday, he provided a throwdown and a throwback. The victim was Jason Maxiell. Observe:
Almost immediately after that, he finished an alley-oop from J.J. Barea. Tyson Chandler, his teammate once again, quite enjoyed it.
Stoudemire's ability to play pick-and-roll basketball, move into open space and finish is why he seemed like a good fit with this particular Dallas group. It's extremely early, but we're already seeing how it's going to work.
