There are unwritten rules that govern professional basketball and then there are things that should just go without saying. For example, don't undercut a jumpshooter is a good unwritten rule. Don't bodyslam a jumpshooter should go without saying.

Not in the Chinese Basketball Association, apparently, where former NBA All-Star Stephon Marbury is leading the Beijing Ducks against the Guandong Southern Tigers in the CBA Finals. Marbury found himself knocked clean out of the air on a dirty foul by Zhou Peng during Game 1 of the Finals. Zhou Peng waited until Marbury released the shot and then clearly barrelled into him, leading with his left shoulder, causing the defenseless Marbury to fly backwards upon impact.

The foul sparked a brief confrontation between the two teams and Marbury smiled while exchanging some trash talk with his opponents. He was eventually awarded two free throws for the hit.

Marbury finished with 36 points, 6 rebounds 5 assists and 4 steals on 12-for-17 shooting. Incredibly, a EuroBasket.com boxscore notes he was fouled 14 times during the game. Beijing went on to win 108-101.
