2025 UFC event schedule: Charles Oliveira vs. Mateusz Gamrot, Tom Aspinall vs. Ciryl Gane on tap

Charles Oliveira returns home after five years away. The former UFC lightweight champion hasn't fought on home soil since becoming a top star, but soon will. Oliveira headlines UFC Fight Night in Rio de Janeiro against Mateusz Gamrot.

"Do Bronx" turns around after Ilia Topuria knocked him out in a vacant lightweight title fight at UFC 317. Originally, Oliveira was set to fight elite striker Rafael Fiziev. He'll instead premier grappler Mateusz Gamrot after Fiziev pulled out. Gamrot is coming off a win over L'udovit Klein after losing a surprise split decision to Dan Hooker. The solid Fight Night features former two-time flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo in the co-main event, plus a welterweight banger between Vicente Luque and Joel Alvarez.

UFC returns to pay-per-view on Oct. 25 with a heavyweight title fight. Tom Aspinall makes his first undisputed title defense after Jon Jones vacated the title and retired. He'll fight arguably the division's second-best active fighter, former interim champion Ciryl Gane. Supporting the card is a vacant women's strawweight title fight between Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzi Dern, which was booked after Zhang Weili vacated the title to fight women's flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko, and the return of Umar Nurmagomedov.
