  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Shows off speed Tuesday

Carroll went 2-for-4 with two triples, one RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Guardians. Carroll put his speed on full display in this contest. He drove in a run with a triple in the fifth inning, and he also swiped a bag after reaching on a fielder's choice in the seventh. Carroll hadn't hit a triple since July 29 versus the Tigers, but he's got 16 of them on the year after Tuesday, four ahead of Boston's Jarren Duran for the major-league lead. Carroll has added 27 home runs, 17 steals, 65 RBI, 84 runs scored and 22 doubles while slashing .253/.329/.559 across 110 contests.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Launches longest HR of career

Carroll went 2-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Sunday's 6-5 loss to Colorado. Carroll drove a middle-middle fastball from Rockies' left-hander Luis Peralta 474 feet into the second deck of the right-center field stands. It was the longest home run of his career, besting the lefty batter's previous career high by 28 feet. The homer was the 27th of the season for Carroll, who has gone deep six times over his last 15 games.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Homers again Saturday

Carroll went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rockies. Carroll has homered in three straight games and has four long balls over eight contests in August. His fifth-inning blast tied the game at 4-4. The star outfielder has tied his career high with 25 homers this season, doing so in just 100 games, which gives him plenty of time to add on to his count. He's also provided 59 RBI, 75 runs scored, 14 stolen bases and a .248/.323/.555 slash line through 449 plate appearances this year.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Smacks homer in Friday's win

Carroll went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 6-1 win over the Rockies. Carroll has popped three homers over seven games to begin August, going 6-for-24 (.250) in that span. The outfielder's uptick in power is a positive sign after he was limited to just one long ball -- along with six doubles and five triples -- over 20 games in July. He's up to 24 homers on the year, putting him one shy of matching his career high from 2023. He's added 58 RBI, 73 runs scored, 14 stolen bases and a .247/.322/.551 slash line across 99 contests.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Homer, steal in win

Carroll went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks, one stolen base and two total runs scored in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Athletics. Carroll ended a 16-game homer drought with his solo shot to pad Arizona's lead in the ninth inning. In that span, he went 15-for-66 (.227) with five doubles, four triples and three steals. The outfielder hasn't found a lot of recent success at the plate, but he still provides reliable counting stats. He's up to 22 homers, 52 RBI, 71 runs scored, 14 steals, 19 doubles and 14 triples through 94 contests, and he's managed an .868 OPS despite a .247 batting average.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Legs out three XBH

Carroll went 3-for-5 with two triples, a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-1 win over St. Louis. Carroll got the Diamondbacks off to a quick start with a leadoff triple and scored the first of their 10 runs. The two triples increased his season total to a league-leading 12, and the three extra-base hits bumped his slugging percentage to .559 (eighth in MLB).

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Hitless in return

Carroll went 0-for-5 in Saturday's 7-1 win over the Royals. Carroll beat the timeline for a recovery from a fractured left wrist and was activated Saturday. There was no easing him back in the lineup; Carroll played right field and was back at his familiar leadoff spot in the order. To make room for Carroll's return, the Diamondbacks optioned Tim Tawa back to Triple-A Reno.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Activated from injured list

The Diamondbacks reinstated Carroll (wrist) from the injured list Saturday. Carroll has been on the injured list with a chip fracture in his left wrist since June 24. After playing a rehab game in the Arizona Complex League and going 0-for-2 with two walks, he's been given the green light to return to the D-backs' lineup. He'll slide right back in as Arizona's primary right fielder, and Tim Tawa will head to Triple-A Reno in order to make room on the active roster.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Starts rehab assignment

Carroll (wrist) began a rehab assignment with the Arizona Complex League Diamondbacks on Thursday, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports. Carroll took dry swings Tuesday, but this is a more significant step in his recovery. He has previously stated his goal was to return before the All-Star break, and this appears to keep him on track to do so. Carroll is eligible to be activated from the injured list Friday, but he seems likely to require a few more games in the minors before rejoining the Diamondbacks.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Will require stint on IL

Carroll is expected to be placed on the 10-day injured list after his MRI and CT results revealed a chip fracture in his left wrist, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports. The club is still seeking additional medical opinions on Carroll's injury, so a timetable for his return isn't available at this time. Randal Grichuk and Tim Tawa should be in line for more opportunities in right field while Carroll is on the mend.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Growing concern about hand injury

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Monday that the level of concern regarding Carroll's left hand injury is "probably a little higher than it has been over the past couple of days," Casey Drottar of MLB.com reports. Lovullo and the Diamondbacks are still awaiting results of the MRI on Carroll's bruised left hand, but optimism that the outfielder can avoid the 10-day injured list seems to be waning. The club could have more on Carroll's status after Monday's game against the White Sox. Carroll is out of the lineup for a fifth straight game and hasn't been used off the bench since being hit on the hand by a pitch last Wednesday. However, Lovullo noted before Monday's game that Carroll could be available in "small spurts and small segments," indicating that he may be available to pinch run, per Drottar.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: MRI on tap

Manager Torey Lovullo said Carroll (hand), who is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Colorado, will undergo an MRI in Chicago on Monday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports. The outfielder was apparently available to pinch hit Saturday while his bruised left hand continues to show improvement, but the Diamondbacks will exercise caution and send him for additional imaging Monday. Carroll is sitting for a fourth straight game Sunday and should be considered day-to-day heading into the series opener against the White Sox.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Set to sit Friday

Manager Torey Lovullo said on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM that Carroll (hand) is expected to be out of the lineup Friday against the Rockies. The skipper also said that Carroll is "very close" to returning and could be convinced to insert the outfielder into the starting nine Friday, but for now he's not penciled in to start the series opener in Colorado. The 24-year-old was hit by a pitch on the left hand Wednesday, but he was diagnosed with a bruise after X-rays came back negative and should be back in action soon.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Absent from Arizona lineup

Carroll (hand) is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Toronto. Carroll exited Wednesday's 8-1 loss after being struck on the left hand by a pitch. X-rays came back negative, and Carroll tried to talk his way into Thursday's lineup, per Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic, suggesting he has a good chance to return to action Friday in Colorado. Randal Grichuk will start in right field and bat seventh for the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Legs out two triples

Carroll went 2-for-5 with two triples, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 10-3 win over Seattle. Carroll has been dealing with a tight hamstring, but one would never surmise that watching him run around the bases Tuesday. He has a league-leading eight triples through 66 games and is zeroing in on a third consecutive season of double-digit triples. Carroll ranks sixth in MLB in slugging (.581) and 10th in OPS (.921).

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Playing through tight hamstring

Carroll has been dealing with a tight hamstring but was in the Diamondbacks' lineup Monday and went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a walk in a 8-4 win over the Mariners in 11 innings, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports. The hamstring issue offers an explanation as to why Carroll was out of the lineup for consecutive games over the weekend against the Reds, although he did appear as a pinch hitter in one of those contests. While Carroll appears set to continue playing through the hamstring issue, it's possible he will be less aggressive on the basepaths. Carroll was unsuccessful in his lone stolen base attempt in June and has just one steal over his last 19 games.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Clubs 19th homer

Carroll went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 8-4 extra-innings win over the Mariners. Carroll opened the scoring by leading off the bottom of the first inning with his homer. The outfielder has gone 6-for-20 (.300) with three homers and six RBI over seven games in June, but he was on the bench for consecutive contests over the weekend in Cincinnati, likely in effort to get his bat going. He has just one multi-hit effort over his last 20 games, batting a meager .181 (13-for-72) despite his nine extra-base hits in that span. For the season, the outfielder is at a .258/.339/.569 slash line with 19 homers, 41 RBI, 50 runs scored and 10 stolen bases across 65 contests.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: On bench Friday

Carroll is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Reds, Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic reports. Carroll will get the night off Friday after making three consecutive starts. Lourdes Gurriel, Alek Thomas and Randal Grichuk will fill the outfield from left to right.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Receiving breather Sunday

Carroll is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals. Carroll is in the midst of a 3-for-31 slump and will head to the bench for just the third time all season. Randal Grichuk is starting in right field and batting sixth versus Washington lefty Mitchell Parker.

  • Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Steals two more bases Saturday

Carroll went 1-for-5 with a walk, a run, an RBI and two stolen bases in a loss to the Rockies on Saturday. Carroll's speed led to a run in the first inning, as he walked to lead off the frame, stole second and scored on a Ketel Marte single. Carroll added another theft after hitting a run-scoring single in the fourth frame to give him his second multi-steal performance of the campaign. The star outfielder has notched at least one stolen base in three consecutive contests and has, so far at least, bounced back in a big way from a bit of a down season last year that saw him finish with a .750 OPS. Through 215 plate appearances in 2025, Carroll is slashing .285/.358/.601 with 14 home runs, 38 runs, 32 RBI and nine stolen bases.
