  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Achieves milestone in loss

Perdomo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-1 loss to San Diego. Perdomo's homer was his 20th, the first time he's reached that milestone. While other regulars were given the day off after Arizona was eliminated from the postseason Friday, Perdomo insisted on playing his 160th game, per Steve Gilbert of MLB.com. There's a good chance he adds to that Sunday, as Perdomo is one RBI shy of a 20-100 year entering the final game of the regular season. It's been a remarkable year of development for Perdomo, whose 6.9 bWAR is among MLB leaders and tops position players in the NL.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Posts steal in Friday's loss

Perdomo went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one walk and one stolen base in Friday's 7-4 loss to the Padres. Perdomo is up to 27 steals on the year, though he's logged just three of them over 22 contests in September. He's still hit well this month, batting .325 (27-for-83) with 11 extra-base hits. The shortstop's strong performance is rounding out his excellent season -- he's at a .291/.391/.461 slash line with 19 home runs, 98 RBI, 97 runs scored, 33 doubles and five triples through 159 games.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Walks it off

Perdomo went 2-for-5 with an RBI in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Dodgers. The Diamondbacks were down a run entering the bottom of the ninth inning, but contributions came from the bottom of the order and eventually Perdomo produced a walk-off win. The shortstop singled in the game-winning run, and the two-hit night extended a hit streak to 12 games, during which he's slashing .409/.536/.682 with seven extra-base hits (two HR), nine walks, two steals and seven RBI. His strong finish highlights what has been a breakout season worthy of MVP consideration. Perdomo has a 6.9 fWAR (fifth in MLB) and 6.8 bWAR (third).

Perdomo contributed to an Arizona comeback, which eventually failed, with a two-run home run in the seventh inning. He homered for a second straight game and has six over the last 19 contests. The shortstop is having a breakout season with 19 homers and 95 RBI through 147 games.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Jumps early on Giants

Perdomo went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run, two RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Giants. Perdomo put San Francisco on its back foot early, connecting on a leadoff homer in the first inning and then delivering a run-scoring single on his next at-bat one inning later. Despite a recent four-hit game, the shortstop's bat has been relatively quiet since the end of August; he entered Wednesday's game 8-for-47 (.170) over the previous 12 contests. The slump does nothing to diminish Perdomo's contributions in the second half, as he's slashed .319/.406/.465 since the All-Star break and is up to 18 home runs, 93 RBI and 25 steals over 146 games.

Perdomo has hit three homers and has a total of five extra-base hits over his last 10 games, going 10-for-41 (.244) in that span. The shortstop went back-to-back with Ketel Marte in the first inning to give Arizona an early advantage. Perdomo is up to 16 homers this season, two more than he had overall in the first three full campaigns of his career. He's added a .285/.385/.448 slash line with 88 RBI, 86 runs scored and 24 stolen bases across 138 contests.

It was his 15th homer and continued a torrid month of August, during which the shortstop is slashing .366/.478/.591 with four home runs, 12 RBI, 19 walks, eight steals and 27 runs over 25 contests.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: On base three times Tuesday

Perdomo went 2-for-3 with a walk, one RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Guardians. Perdomo has embraced the speed element of being a leadoff hitter over the last week, going 10-for-30 (.333) with five steals and a 7:4 BB:K over eight games since he swapped places with Corbin Carroll in the order. Perdomo has logged three multi-hit efforts in that span. The shortstop continues to excel with a .289/.390/.443 slash line on the year, and he's added 22 steals, 13 home runs, 81 RBI and 76 runs scored over 126 contests.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Batting leadoff Tuesday

Perdomo is batting leadoff and starting at shortstop for Tuesday's game versus Texas. Manager Torey Lovullo has opted to flip-flop Perdomo and Corbin Carroll in the order, moving Perdomo up from third to leadoff. Both players have been on a tear of late, but Carroll has particularly shown more power, with four home runs over his last five games. Perdomo is slashing .435/.536/.652 with one home run, three RBI, eight runs scored and a 5:3 BB:K over the last seven days. Perdomo's strong on-base skills make him an ideal candidate for the leadoff spot.

Perdomo has hit safely in eight of his last nine games and has a trio of three-hit efforts in that span. The shortstop's steady hitting has helped him maintain a starting role for the vast majority of the season. He's up to a .283/.383/.429 slash line with 11 home runs, 75 RBI, 64 runs scored and 17 stolen bases through 116 contests, putting him on pace for a career year across the board in his fourth big-league campaign.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Swipes two bags in win

Perdomo went 0-for-2 with three walks, two stolen bases and one run scored in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Athletics. Perdomo had just two steals in all of July, and it took him just two contests in August to match that number. The shortstop has been held hitless in six of his last eight games, but he's racked up a 6:2 BB:K in that span to stay effective at getting on base. Overall, he's posted a career-high 17 steals while adding 11 home runs, 75 RBI, 58 runs scored and a .274/.376/.421 slash line across 110 games.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Contributes four RBI in blowout win

Perdomo went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one run scored and one stolen base in Saturday's victory over the Cardinals. Perdomo played a key role in the Diamondbacks' blowout win Saturday, tying his season high with four RBI. The switch hitter has been solid all year and especially productive lately, slashing .327/.464/.455 with 13 RBI over his past 15 games. While he's tallied just four extra-base hits during this stretch, Perdomo's consistent contact and strong plate discipline allow him to thrive without relying heavily on power.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Logs two RBI in win

Perdomo batted second in the order and went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI in Friday's 7-3 win over St. Louis. Perdomo tripled in the first inning but was stranded there, and he then singled in a pair of runs in Arizona's three-run second inning. He took the second spot in the batting order against a right-hander, which typically is the domain of Ketel Marte, but Marte was placed on the restricted list to deal with a burglary at his home in Phoenix. Perdomo spent one game batting ninth just before the break, but that may have been a one-game decision. He's spent most of the last month in the upper third.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Dropped to ninth

Perdomo batted ninth and went 0-for-3 in Saturday's 10-5 loss to the Angels. For the last month, Perdomo made a home in the upper third of the batting order, but he was back down hitting ninth Saturday, which is where he started the season. It's unclear if this will be a permanent shift, but the shortstop has been productive no matter where he's been slotted.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Doubles twice in loss

Perdomo went 2-for-4 with a walk, two doubles and an RBI in Thursday's 4-3 loss to San Diego. The two doubles increased Perdomo's total to 20, the third consecutive season he's delivered at least 20 two-baggers. He's overcome a shaky beginning to June and hit safely in 16 of the last 21 contests, posting a slash line of .301/.414/.458 during that span. Other than that stretch in June, Perdomo has been remarkably consistent in 2025 and overall sports a .980 OPS with runners in scoring position, which has fueled a career-high 65 RBI through the first 93 games.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Records three hits in loss

Perdomo went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 8-7 loss to the Marlins. Perdomo doubled to lead off the bottom of the first inning and scored, and he then came home on Ketel Marte's three-run home run in the fourth. Perdomo is enjoying a productive run as the leadoff or second batter in the order while Corbin Carroll (wrist) is on the mend. He's hit safely in eight of nine games, going 12-for-40 (.300) with two doubles, two homers, eight RBI, a stolen base and eight runs scored. The shortstop is second on the team in RBI (57) and fourth in runs (45).

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Moves to leadoff

Perdomo batted leadoff and went 2-for-4 with two walks, a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 10-0 win over the White Sox. Perdomo batted leadoff for a second straight game, as the Diamondbacks are without Corbin Carroll (hand), who is expected to be placed on the 10-day injured list. That means Perdomo will likely replace Carroll as the leadoff hitter against right-handers, while Ketel Marte maintains his role atop the order against lefties. Perdomo has experienced a slight downturn during June -- he's batting .190 (15-for-79) with a .624 OPS -- but he's contributed seven extra-base hits, 11 RBI and 12 runs scored over 20 contests.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Moved to third in order

Perdomo batted third and went 1-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 9-7 loss to the Nationals. Perdomo had made several appearances in the upper third of the batting order this season but only when Ketel Marte was injured or resting. With Marte back from a two-game absence due to an illness, Arizona manager Torey Lovullo made the call to leave Perdomo up in the order, per Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports. Perdomo's line when batting in the upper third of the order is .291/.393/.458 with seven doubles, five home runs and 24 RBI through 31 games.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Swipes bag in win

Perdomo went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Sunday's 1-0 win over Colorado. Perdomo extended a hit streak to six games with a second-inning single, after which he stole his 11th base over 46 games. That's two more than the shortstop had in 98 games last year, and he's threatening the career-high 16 swipes he posted in 2023 across 144 games. Perdomo is enjoying his most productive season since becoming a full-time starter in 2022.
