Saturday college football betting preview

No. 4 Alabama at South Carolina, 3:30 p.m. ET

Ever since their opening loss, the Crimson Tide have looked like arguably the best team in the nation, and suddenly, concerns about whether Kalen DeBoer was the correct person to lead the Alabama program have been silenced. Alabama (6-1) has won six straight games, including four straight wins over ranked opponents, as it will play its first non-ranked team since Sept. 13. Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson is the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy at some sportsbooks in his first year as a starter as the junior has 1,931 passing yards and 18 touchdowns with one interception this season. South Carolina was the preseason No. 13 team in the nation, but is 3-4 this year, including 1-4 in SEC play.

The Gamecocks are 0-3 against ranked teams this season, but Saturday marks just their second home game against a ranked team. Alabama is favored by 11 points in the latest college football odds at Fanatics Sportsbook, with an over/under of 47.5 points. Use the latest Fanatics Sportsbook promo code here:

No. 3 Texas A&M vs. No. 20 LSU, 7:30 p.m. ET

The Texas A&M Aggies have climbed from the preseason No. 19 team in the nation to No. 3 during their 7-0 start, but No. 20 LSU will mark just their second ranked team they've played this season, including their first ranked SEC opponent. No. 20 LSU was the preseason No. 9 in the nation, and is 5-2 this season. The Tigers are coming off a 31-14 loss to Vanderbilt, as they've dropped two of their last three games. However, both those losses came against ranked opponents.

These teams are led by two of the top-five passers in the SEC, with Texas A&M sophomore Marcel Reed throwing for 1,770 yards and 15 touchdowns compared to four interceptions this season, while fifth-year senior Garrett Nussmeier has 1,638 yards and 11 touchdowns with five interceptions for LSU. Texas A&M is favored by 2.5 points, with an over/under set at 49.5 points on Saturday night. Claim up to $2,000 in FanCash here:

No. 17 Tennessee vs. Kentucky, 7:45 p.m. ET

The Kentucky Wildcats are still chasing their first SEC victory of the season, but in two of their three games against ranked opponents, the Wildcats kept the final a one-score contest. Kentucky hopes to break through with a victory on Saturday in hosting No. 17 Tennessee after frustrating phenom Archie Manning and holding him to 132 yards on 12 of 27 passing in a 16-13 overtime loss last week. Meanwhile, Tennessee is also coming off a loss, falling to Alabama, 37-20, on Saturday to snap a three-game winning streak.

The Vols are 5-2 this season, including 5-0 against unranked teams. Tennessee is favored by 8 points with an over/under of 54 points in the latest college football odds at Fanatics Sportsbook. Use the latest Fanatics Sportsbook promo code here:
