The Los Angeles Angels swapped starting pitchers Sunday morning, recalling left-handed pitcher Brad Mills from Triple-A Salt Lake, and sending Eric Hurley down to make room on the roster.

Hurley was looking to make his first major-league appearance since 2008, but will have to wait for another opportunity.

The soft-tossing Mills appeared in 11 games (nine starts) for the Salt Lake Bees of the Pacific Coast League, posting a 4.76 ERA in 51 innings.

Mills was on the mound for the Angels on Sunday afternoon, and has made good on his start so far, looking nothing like the owner of a career 8.57 major-league ERA. Los Angeles leads Baltimore 5-0 in the bottom of the fifth. Mills has struck out six, while only allowing three hits.
