High school basketball rankings: City of Palms Classic to feature 10 teams featured in this week's MaxPreps Top 25
No. 1 Wheeler, No. 2 Paul VI, No. 3 Petersburg and No. 4 Columbus are all headed to Fort Myers for the 16-team Classic bracket.
Future installments of the MaxPreps Top 25 high school basketball rankings will be shaped by results of holiday tournaments and events getting underway this week.
The City of Palms Classic is at the top of that list as 10 nationally-ranked programs will converge on Fort Myers, Fla., for the six-day event. The 16-team field features No. 1 Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.), No. 2 Paul VI (Chantilly, Va.), No. 3 Petersburg (Va.), No. 4 Columbus (Miami, Fla.), No. 7 Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Md.), No. 8 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) and No. 10 Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.).
