Chernyshov (upper body) will be out for a little while with the injury he sustained Thursday versus the Senators, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.
Chernyshov will definitely miss Saturday's road-trip finale in Boston. Beyond that, his timeline is undetermined, though an eventual placement on injured reserve would cost him at least a week. Adam Gaudette will likely get the first chance to fill a spot in the lineup, while Mason Marchment figures to move back into the top six.
