Groulx was placed on waivers Monday, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Groulx hasn't earned a point in seven NHL appearances with the Maple Leafs this campaign, but he has posted four shots on net, three blocked shots and 12 hits. If he clears waivers, he will likely head to AHL Toronto.
