Niederreiter left Thursday's game versus the Stars after taking a stick up high, and there was no update on his status after the contest, Robert Tiffin of NHL.com reports.
Niederreiter was injured by teammate Tyrel Bauer's errant stick in the third period. Niederreiter can be considered day-to-day ahead of Sunday's game versus the Canadiens. If he can't play, Cole Koepke will likely draw back into the lineup.
