Schaefer scored his first goal of the season in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Kings.
The star blueliner earned the Isles a point in the standings, tying the game up at 2-2 in the third period by snapping a shot into the bottom corner past Darcy Kuemper's toe. Schaefer lit the lamp 23 times in his historic, Calder Trophy-winning campaign last season, and he's hardly been unproductive so far in 2026-27 despite the goal drought, collecting nine points in his first 10 games.
