Mitchell was reassigned to AHL San Diego on Monday.
Mitchell being sent down is a good indication that Drew Helleson (lower body) will make his season debut Tuesday against the Flames. The 26-year-old Mitchell has not gotten on the scoresheet with the Ducks this season while accounting for six hits, seven blocks, nine PIM and a minus-3 rating over five appearances.
