Gaucher was placed on waivers by the Ducks on Friday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Gaucher got his first taste of NHL action during the 2025-26 campaign by making three regular-season appearances with Anaheim, and he was held scoreless with six hits and a blocked shot while averaging 8:01 of ice time. Across 62 regular-season outings with AHL San Diego last year, he logged 15 goals, 14 assists and 47 PIM, and he'll presumably head back to the minors if he clears waivers.
