Allen will get the starting nod Wednesday on the road versus the Avalanche, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Allen will handle the second half of the back-to-back after Connor Hellebuyck made his debut in a win over the Stars on Tuesday. With the arrival of Hellebuyck, Allen's playing time is poised to decline significantly. He has gone 5-2-0 with a 2.84 GAA and an .886 save percentage over seven games this season.
