Byram (upper body) won't play against Dallas on Saturday, according to Tracey Myers of NHL.com.
Byram remains day-to-day and will miss his second straight game. He has additional time to recover, with Chicago not scheduled to play until Friday against Montreal. Byram has one assist, five shots on goal, nine blocked shots and two hits in six appearances this season.
