MacKinnon scored a power-play goal on four shots and added two assists in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Red Wings.
One of the helpers also came on the power play. MacKinnon had endured a three-game goal drought prior to Saturday, his longest scoring slump of the season. The 31-year-old superstar is up to 10 goals, 20 helpers, 66 shots on net, 12 PIM and a plus-6 rating across 18 appearances. His ability to be efficient on nearly four shots per game is what helps him maintain elite scoring numbers.
