  • Chargers' Tony Jefferson: Limited to open week

Jefferson (hamstring) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.

Jefferson was able to return to practice after missing all three of the team's sessions last week and their 27-20 win over the Titans due to a hamstring injury. The safety will have two more opportunities to log a full practice prior to Sunday night's contest against the Steelers.

  • Taylor Decker OT | DET

Lions' Taylor Decker: Dealing with shoulder issue

Decker (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday.

Decker exited Sunday's loss to the Vikings with a knee injury, but he was instead on the injury report with a shoulder issue that has plagued him the last several weeks. He's played through the injury since Week 7, so he should have a chance to play in Week 10 against the Commanders.

  • Rams' Darious Williams: Limited to open week

Williams (shoulder) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Williams is still working his way back from the shoulder injury that he suffered in Week 7 against the Jaguars and has sidelined him since. The cornerback is trending toward returning to action Sunday against the 49ers, with head coach Sean McVay saying that "the hope and optimism" is that Williams will be active, per Cameron DaSilva of USA Today. Williams will have two more chances to log a full practice before the end of the week and officially leave behind the shoulder issue.

  • Barry Wesley OT | NO

Saints' Barry Wesley: Designated to return

The Saints designated Wesley (undisclosed) to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Wesley has been sidelined since August with an undisclosed injury but managed to return to practice Wednesday as a full participant. The team will now have 21 days to officially activate him off injured reserve.

  • Harrison Mevis: In competition for starting job

Mevis will compete with Josh Karty to serve as the Rams' kicker in Week 10 against the 49ers, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

Mevis joined the Rams' practice squad Wednesday and will immediately have the chance to contribute. Joshua Karty is the incumbent kicker for the team, but he has missed at least one kick in three of his last four games and is just 10-for-15 on field-goal attempts this season.

  • Bryce Huff DE | SF

49ers' Bryce Huff: Limited to open week

Huff (hamstring) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Huff has missed the 49ers' last two games due to a hamstring strain, but his return to practice Wednesday is a sign that the veteran pass rusher is progressing in his recovery. He could return against the Colts on Sunday, and his availability is key given that Mykel Williams suffered a season-ending torn ACL during the 49ers' Week 9 win over the Giants, further depleting San Francisco's defensive end depth that also has Yetur Gross-Matos (knee), Nick Bosa (knee - ACL) and Tarron Jackson (undisclosed) all on injured reserve.

  • Lions' Christian Mahogany: Lands on IR

The Lions placed Mahogany (leg) on injured reserve Wednesday, Allen Park of Michigan Live reports.

Mahogany will be forced to miss at least four weeks after suffering a leg injury in the fourth quarter of the Week 9 loss to the Vikings. The 25-year-old isn't expected to return until December, and in his absence, Kayode Awosika will likely take over as Detroit's starting left guard.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Misses practice Wednesday

Whittington (back) was a non-participant at practice Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Whittington popped up on the injury report with an apparent back injury to open the week. The wide receiver failed to garner a target in the team's 34-10 win over the Saints in Week 9, potentially getting hurt during the game. He'll have two more chances to return to practice prior to Sunday's contest against the 49ers.

  • Dee Winters LB | SF

49ers' Dee Winters: Still working through knee issue

Winters (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Winters was able to play through a knee injury against the Giants in Week 9, when he played every single defensive snap while recording five tackles (two solo). He'll have two more chances to log a full practice this week, but even if he remains limited, he's likely to be available for Sunday's game against the Colts, barring a setback.

  • Josh Jobe CB | SEA

Seahawks' Josh Jobe: No practice due to concussion

Jobe (concussion) was estimated to be a nonparticipant at Wednesday's walkthrough practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Jobe suffered a concussion in Sunday's win over the Commanders and is now in the league's concussion protocol. He'll need to clear the five steps to suit up in Week 10 against the Cardinals, and his progress should become clearer as the week progresses.
