  • Chris Olave WR | NO

Saints' Chris Olave: Limited in return to practice

Olave (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

Olave didn't appear to be nursing an injury during this past Sunday's 26-14 loss to the Bears, but the Saints nonetheless cited an ankle issue for his absence from Wednesday's practice. The receiver's ability to get back on the field Thursday as a limited participant offers hope that the injury isn't anything too serious, though he may still need to upgrade to full participation in Friday's practice to avoid carrying a questionable tag into Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers.

  • Jaylen Waddle WR | MIA

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Limited in practice Thursday

Waddle (hamstring/rest) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Waddle is dealing with issues in both hamstrings and receiving some rest at practice as a result, per Furones, which lends optimism to the notion that No. 1 wideout will still manage to suit up on the road versus Atlanta on Sunday. Still, unless he's able to upgrade to full practice activity Friday, it seems like Waddle may be assigned an injury designation for Week 8. With Tyreek Hill (knee - ACL) already out for the season and Darren Waller (hamstring) to miss at least four games after having been placed on IR on Wednesday, Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins' passing game can scarcely afford for Waddle to miss any time.

  • Emeka Egbuka WR | TB

Buccaneers' Emeka Egbuka: Gets back to limited Thursday

Egbuka (hamstring) was limited at Thursday's practice.

Egbuka currently is the Buccaneers' top available wide receiver with Mike Evans (concussion) set to miss most of the rest of the campaign due to a broken collarbone and Chris Godwin (fibula) effectively ruled out for Sunday's game at New Orleans. Having said that, Egbuka continues to deal with the hamstring injury that has inhibited him since getting hurt Week 6 against the 49ers. After sitting out Wednesday's walkthrough, he has made progress with some on-field work one day later, but Friday's practice report will unveil whether or not he enters the weekend with a designation ahead of Week 8 action.

  • Jerry Jeudy WR | CLE

Browns' Jerry Jeudy: Listed as limited Thursday

Jeudy (knee) was a limited participant at Thursday's practice, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Jeudy's limited participation is a step in the right direction after he didn't practice Wednesday. The underperforming wide receiver will have one more opportunity to upgrade to full practice participation Friday, which could help him avoid an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Stays limited in practice

Watson (knee) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

In his third week of on-field work since the Packers designated him for return from the reserve/PUP list, Watson has yet to log more than a limited session as he completes his recovery from the torn ACL that he sustained in his right knee Week 18 of last season. He told Schneidman on Wednesday, "My goal and my plan is to play this week." Assuming the Packers list Watson as anything other than 'Out' on Friday's injury report, the team then will need to activate him from the PUP list on Saturday afternoon for him to have a chance to suit up Sunday at Pittsburgh.

  • 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk: Drawing closer to 2025 debut

San Francisco general manager John Lynch said Thursday that he has both hope and "evidence" that Aiyuk (knee) will soon be ready to make his 2025 debut, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.

Though Lynch didn't go into specifics regarding where exactly Aiyuk stands in his recovery from the torn ACL and MCL he sustained last October, the GM's comments indicate that the receiver has reached some necessary checkpoints in the rehab process for his surgically-repaired right knee. That being said, until the 49ers clear Aiyuk to practice and open up his 21-day evaluation window, it will be difficult to pinpoint a target date for the 27-year-old to potentially return from the PUP list. Whenever he's activated, Aiyuk could have his snap counts monitored carefully for at least a few games.

  • Darius Slayton WR | NYG

Giants' Darius Slayton: Stays limited in practice

Slayton (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Slayton has kicked off Week 8 prep with a pair of limited practices, but because he hasn't played since Week 5 due to the hamstring injury, he may need to turn in a full practice Friday in order to avoid taking a designation into Sunday's game in Philadelphia. With Malik Nabers (knee) lost for the season, Slayton should be in line for a prominent role in the Giants' passing attack for the second half of the campaign once he's cleared to play.

  • Deebo Samuel WR | WAS

Commanders' Deebo Samuel: Logs full practice Thursday

Samuel (heel) practiced in full Thursday.

The same can be said for fellow WR Terry McLaurin (quadriceps), signaling that Washington's top options at the position are past their respective health concerns ahead of Monday's game at Kansas City. Samuel sat out Week 7 due to a lingering heel injury but was spotted performing hard cuts during individual drills at Thursday's session, according to Commanders writer Ben Standig.

  • Chris Olave WR | NO

Saints' Chris Olave: Returns to practice Thursday

Olave (ankle) was spotted taking part in practice Thursday during the media-access portion of the session, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Olave was held out of the Saints' first Week 8 practice Wednesday on account of an ankle injury, but his presence on the field a day later offers hope that his absence was mostly maintenance-related. The Saints will release their second practice report of the week later Thursday, when it will be known whether Olave was a limited or full participant in the session. After his 2024 campaign was derailed by two concussions, Olave has enjoyed generally good health so far in 2025, suiting up for all seven of the Saints' games to date while producing a 44-440-3 receiving line on 70 targets.

  • Terry McLaurin WR | WAS

Commanders' Terry McLaurin: Full practice Thursday

    McLaurin (quadriceps) practiced fully Thursday.

Both McLaurin and Deebo Samuel had no limitations to kick off Week 8 prep, indicating Washington's top two wide receivers are trending toward returning to action Monday at Kansas City. McLaurin himself has missed the last four games due to a quad injury but was seen cutting hard during individual drills at Thursday's session, per Commanders writer Ben Standig.
