Dallas Goedert TE | PHI
Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Limited with injury Tuesday
Goedert (groin) was a limited participant at Tuesday's practice, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Goedert and DeVonta Smith (groin), who did not practice, are new additions to the injury report, while A.J. Brown (hamstring) also remained sidelined due to an injury he's dealt with for the majority of training camp. While Goedert practicing in a limited fashion suggests he's only dealing with a minor injury, that could be enough for him to be held out of Friday's preseason finale against the Jets, in the event that the rest of Philadelphia's starters do suit up.

Noah Fant TE | CIN
Bengals' Noah Fant: Not targeted in preseason win
Fant didn't get any targets in Monday's preseason win over Washington.
Fant was part of a TE rotation for the first-string offense, mostly playing alongside Drew Sample in two-TE sets, while Tanner Hudson filled in for Mike Gesicki (hamstring) and got a lot of the work in passing situations with three wide receivers. None of the bunch is likely to have an every-down role in the regular season, nor anything close to it.

Ben Sinnott TE | WAS
Commanders' Ben Sinnott: Finishes without a catch
Sinnott finished without a catch on one target in Monday's preseason loss to the Bengals.
Sinnott was a second-round pick last year, but there hasn't been much hint of him making a push to overtake 33-year-old Zach Ertz, who was among the players rested Monday night. Sinnott took a snap on the opening drive with Jayden Daniels, but only in a multi-TE formation, whereas John Bates was in for every play. It looks like Sinnott may just be the No. 3 TE again unless an injury to Ertz opens up the pass-catching role.

Tyler Mabry TE | CAR
Panthers' Tyler Mabry: Placed on injured reserve
The Panthers placed Mabry (undisclosed) on the injured-reserve list Monday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
The nature of Mabry's injury isn't clear, but by being placed on IR, the 28-year-old tight end will be forced to miss the entire 2025 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Panthers. Mabry spent most of the 2024 campaign on the Seahawks' practice squad but did appear in two regular-season games, playing 10 snaps (four on offense, six on special teams) without otherwise showing up on the box score.

Will Mallory TE | IND
Colts' Will Mallory: Having strong training camp
Mallory had one reception for 11 yards on three targets in Saturday's preseason loss to Green Bay. He's had an impressive training camp that could help him win a roster spot, 93.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
If the Colts keep four tight ends, Mallory is likely battling Jelani Woods and Drew Ogletree for the final spot. Mallory has showed off his receiving ability in training camp, but no tight end other than Tyler Warren may be a significant factor in the passing game.

Darren Waller TE | MIA
Dolphins' Darren Waller: May practice this week
Head coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Waller (undisclosed) could begin practicing this week, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Waller remains on the active/PUP list as he regains his conditioning after unretiring, but the Dolphins likely plan to activate the tight end during the week of practice leading up to Saturday's preseason finale against the Jaguars. Once he's up to speed, Waller's projected to top a tight end depth chart that also includes Julian Hill and Pharaoh Brown.

Terrance Ferguson TE | LAR
Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Gets back on practice field
Ferguson (groin) participated in practice Monday, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Rams coach Sean McVay said Ferguson was "a little bit limited" in his first practice since Aug. 2, when he suffered a groin injury, but also said he was encouraged by the rookie second-round pick's activity in full pads. Ferguson's groin injury forced him to miss Los Angeles' first two preseason games, so Saturday's road matchup against the Browns will represent the rookie tight end's final chance to log exhibition reps before Week 1.

Colston Loveland TE | CHI
Bears' Colston Loveland: Gets reps with first-team offense
Loveland had two receptions for 26 yards on as many targets in Sunday's preseason rout of the Bills.
Cole Kmet made his preseason debut, but Loveland still got some work in with the starting offense. In fact, the 10th overall pick in this year's draft caught QB Caleb Williams' first pass attempt of the evening. The more-experienced Kmet is expected to be the starting tight end this season, but Sunday showed us that Loveland will get worked into this new-look offense under Ben Johnson.

Cole Kmet TE | CHI
Bears' Cole Kmet: Rips off big gain Sunday
Kmet took his only reception for 29 yards in Sunday's preseason win over the Bills.
Kmet was the only question mark amongst the first-team offense heading into Sunday's dress rehearsal, but he wound up suiting up after working with the training staff pregame. The veteran starter showed no ill effects from the minor back injury he was nursing earlier in camp, ripping off a 29-yard gain with his only touch against Buffalo. Kmet posted a modest 47-474-4 receiving line in 17 games last season, but he will face playing time competition after the Bears drafted TE Colston Loveland with the 10th overall pick in this year's draft.
